Awesome job Amornar. This is some really really high quality content. It kinda inspires me to do a bit of building too...good thing I have free time!

This was a very cool read! Thanks for the write-up, and I love the pics that went along with it!
My favorite settlement character, from a roleplay standpoint, encouraged each of the settlements he worked with to develop their own unique identities and engage in a friendly economic rivalry with one another. As my character was very much a patriot, the "Town Hall" area of each settlement was adorned on one wall with neon art of a famous piece of American art or architecture. Red Rocket Station's symbol, for example, was an image of the Statue of Liberty in remembrance of the long exodus Preston and the others made in order to find their sanctuary, while Sanctuary Hills, itself, had the symbol of the Washington Monument. The Minutemen Castle was adorned with a Liberty Bell, its crack exagerrated into the Minutemen's thunderbolt symbol. I really liked the idea, and I'm sad to say I lacked the artistic talent to make the images as nice as they did in my head.

This was both a super fun as well as extremely informative read! Thank you so much for putting this together Amornar! You can tell Bethesda really wanted to put emphasis on settlement building in this installment, which makes it all the more important to have information and advice on how to best enjoy it. Excellent job

Thanks Mercurias! That is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping people would start posting on here for others now, and for many months and maybe even years ahead to read through and get inspiration for unique and interesting ideas to steal/use/manipulate/change. Thanks!
Thanks MaddMannatee, very kind words and very true!

If only I had the patience to build my own settlement. Very awesome Amornar! This gives me an idea. Have you considered posting a... Settlement Build in the Fallout group? I'm not referring to a character build based around building settlements. I mean posting a discussion dedicated to one COMPLEX settlement in which you detail how the whole place works, every lightbulb, every trap, everything about it. I'd support this idea and I'm sure many other people would. :D
You know like Settlement Build: Red Rocket Shop

Hmm it is an interesting idea. I feel that discussion and text is hard to capture something like that though. Videos would be the ideal solution with that and then make comments and such from posting them.....but I don't know anything about making videos.....maybe I could force myself to learn. I can't imagine it is that difficult. I shall think on this....
