Random thought at work, have to write down to (a) not forget thought and (b) hold myself accountable to come back and complete the character quickly. :) Also not sure if that tag is legit, but we can edit that one later, mmkay?
Bosmer is the least apt at magic compared to all other elven races, so the Vancian style seems right up their alley. With the help of Ordinator, I won't have to simply restrict my playstyle and hope not to forget about the limitations on my own. Self restrictions to improve lore and playthrough will be:
Thanks and I'll be back soon!

Sorry Ernie, meant to drop a comment earlier today. To be honest I don't really have much to say at the moment since it's mostly just your notes about ideas rather than stuff you've got narrowed down. The idea instantly swayed me because I'm a pretty big fan of Vancian Magic so I'm interested in seeing what your idea is to combine it with the 'Ranger' style of gameplay.
Hope to see more of it soon mate :D

Just to give you a little taste of things to come Dragonborn, think more of like a blend of Druid and Ranger, with both staff and bow for ranged fighting, stealth for hunting as well as adventuring, and alchemy to boost both. Alteration obv for the Vancian branch of Ordinator perks and smithing to craft the selective gear that only a Druid and/or Bosmer would use - none of that fancy metal stuff here!

Really like the sound of your build, Ernie. I'm a massive fan of Druid builds, and naturey stuff in general, so this is right up my alley.
You talked about carrying a realistic amount, well this discussion by old member Jo'Daro is kinda the go to for that kind of thing. But if you're character is really in touch with nature, you could take inspiration from (I believe?) the Apocalypse Spell Package's Deep Storage spell. Basically lets you store stuff underground via spell, which can be retrieved at any time via the spell. Could be a good way to use some more situational potions or poisons, or maybe a special enchanted bow etc.

Thanks Zonnonn, you are correct about the Deep Storage spell, I had actually forgotten about that one. I disabled that mod a while back and forgot to re-enable it so good catch. I'll also make sure to read the discussion you were referring to and get all that straight as well.

Hah, I'm fairly partial to the 2nd and 4th images from the initial post, but that new one is really good too. You've found a tonne of really great art for this one Ernie :D

I have made the first rundown of the character as I have made it through the initial stages of the playthrough this weekend. I am to the point of his natural progression from loaner to leader.
He is a somewhat normal Bosmer doing normal Bosmer things, up until the point of seeing a dragon attack as he is camping one day just outside of Helgen. As he spots the dragon flying overhead, he feels a burning sensation in his hands and notices each one glowing a different color - one red and one white. He knows that something is up, but cannot waste time at the moment figuring this out, he might just be the next meal for the scaly flying lizard! However, he does hear something in the back of his mind that he has heard since his upbringing - "Magic always comes with a price." Can this really be what's happening to him? Is there more to his future than just hunting, fishing, and selling owners back their own pilfered items? Only one way to find out! I present to you Guldarion, the Bosmer Druid.
Race: Bosmer
Required Mod list:
Alternate Start: Camping in the Woods
Standing Stones: Warrior, Steed
Associations: Companions, College of Winterhold, Thieves Guild, Dawnguard
Shouts: Unrelenting Force, Whirlwind Sprint, Frost Breath
Gear: Bosmer Armor, Bosmer Elder Armor, Greybeard's Robes and Hood
Weapons: Bosmer Bow, Bosmer Short Blade, Staves, Dragonbone Bow
Perked Skills and selections at Level 20 (pre-Vancian Druid Magic manifestation):
Valid Shrines: Kynareth, Mara, Talos
