So damn, I'm sorry, this started off as a lore article for the Bestia Infinium event, but I'm just terrible at writing articles, long-chapper status aside. What I will do is show you some fun, fun, fun gameplay mixed in with the lore research I did for the article, but in a format that is easier and less pressure for me to handle. It is actually something I have had cooking in my brain literally longer than either Henantier or Urag. Since the Exotics event way back last year. I even had a WiP for it, but deleted it because I struggled to find an rp angle that really motivated me to complete the build. I found one and it rocks. Think of it this way. If The Exterminator was the Orkin man, this build is the Terminator. A Daedroth follower of Meridia, Colored Rooms bent on ridding Tamriel of Necromancy, Undead, and other evils. She will use her time on the plain of Mundus to spit in the eye of Molag Bal by corrupting one of his most powerful creations and turning it to the light.

    I present to you...

This build is based on the Aurorans from Oblivion's Knight of the Nine dlc, which are Daedra created by Sheogorath, Azura, and Meridia. In KoTN, they help defend Meridia's Champion, Umaril the Unfeathered, against the Champion of Cyrodiil. The irony is that she then HELPs for the events of ESO. Her enemy in the Daedric world is Molag Bal and with good reason. There are hints, and I totally buy it too, that she and old Baly were once lovers, leaving her, a former child of Magnus (insert sexy winged lady pictures for Phil), to be shunned and lumped in with the Daedric princes, so artifacts of Bal and Magnus may play a special part in this build. Had a look atthe Auroran's ESO counterparts and find that those are just renamed Golden Saints, so I'm sticking mostly with ES IV in recreating this type of Daedra for Skyrim, with some minor changes to reflect ESO and the lore. This is a build that'll have several options to realize into fruition based on whether your are playing on console or on PC, with or without mods.

Race: Altmer. They are tall and superior in every way for this build. The bonuses to three skills are fabulous.

Stats: 1:1:1, she's too much combat and magic, so the stats should be pretty equal. Once stamina is 200, then go 1:1 magicka and health.

Alignment: Whatever fanatical devotion to Meridia and using that power to restore her light to the world at whatever cost is. :D

Class: Elements of a Summoner, a Crusader, a Battle mage, and an Elementalist.

Blessings: None, she is a Daedroth, the blessings of the Aedra mean nothing to her. If you must for gameplay, Julianos is actually an interesting choice as he was a god that experienced some rejection when he was in the form of Jhunal. A shunning, so to speak, from the rest of the pantheon. Similar to Meridia in some ways.

Stone: Atronach for early game then switch to Lord to simulate the Auroran's 25% resistance to magic.

Shouts: Having a thought with this one. I have dragons in the air, because I always enjoy killing them, but have no desire to really finish the main quest. I'll see if there's a shout that screams Meridia, but I don't think so. I am also loathe to align myself too much with Mr. Mora.

Skills: No more paths. I'm going completely Vanilla, unmodded for this. So, Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, One-handed and some Light armor and heavy armor. The Auroran's in ESO carry one-handed weapons and I'm similating the effect of the Knights of the Nine Aurorans with Shock magicks and bound weapons.

Gear: Necromancer's amulet (part of my keep this amulet away from Necromancer's series of builds), Zakriisos (for both the shock boost, shock resistance, and the look, Auroran's have 50% resistance to shock).

Spells: Sparks, Lightning bolt, Lightning cloak (to recreate Light that protects), Chain lightning (to recreate Light that burns from the Oblivion Auroran), bound sword, Storm Atronach, turn undead spells, wards, sun spells, barrier spells (to recreate Light that protects). Healing spells are important because that is the only source of healing. The light of Meridia is the only thing for this Oblivion warrior, I love it.

Gameplay: Fast-paced and dangerous, because the armor rating will not be high as stuff will be mismatched and the Auroran isn't arsed to smith anything, grow shit, or enchant shit. She is a Daedra on a mission and doesn't have the inclination to craft and experiment like my Exterminator did. I'm only going as far as either Agile defender or Juggernaut for heavy. Conjure bound weapon and blast and whack whoever dares attack you. No sneaking, no funny business. Sneaking is for wussies. :D

Gameplay concepts to explore: No potions, so respite becomes important, minimal looting or use of other skills barring the perked ones. Aurorans are also associated with Sheogorath and Azura, but I also read that sometimes Azura is aligned with Bal, which puts a certain spin on things, don't it? Isolationist gameplay. No house, no food. She is almost like a machine, like a Terminator in service to her Prince. In addition, when she finds Meridia's beacon, she'll leave offerings to the Shrine... of all the undead she's killed.

    1. Gargoyles: gems and ores
    2. Skeletons and draugr: bonemeal and the boss's weapon. Dragonpriest masks for the dragon priests.
    3. Vampires: Vampire dust
    4. Ghosts (if they can be looted): Ectoplasm
    5. I have 79 undead killed so far. :D
    6. Necromancers: Collect their boots or their cloaks if Cloaks of Skyrim is involved.

Quests: The Break of Dawn, Dawnguard, The Man who Cried Wolf & The Wolf Queen Awakens, partial main quest, partial college of Winterhold, Nordic tombs, Necromancer lairs, and Vampire lairs, Laid to Rest, Blood on the Ice, Fail The House of Horrors, and Frostflow abyss, Undeath (modded). No Book of Love, you don't love Mara. But the magic resistance! NO! You love Meridia! And Kynareth can kiss your Auroran arse too! You fuck up that Eldergleam, kill dem spriggans, and make that tree BEEEEG in Whiterun. But you help Andurs at Whiterun cause skeletons are bad.

Training: None. This, for me was a build that would refuse training. I also am refusing potions of any kind, becaue things made by mortals are just eww.

Follower: A cured Serana, the new acolyte of Meridia.

To do: A bunch of stuff.

Yet another build for me to look forward, that will never come out :P

Also did you mean to quote the entire build in that comment with nothing added to it?

Well, I just got so inspired from the Lore Event that I had to take her up again. She's been incredible to play. You know when I zip through the gameplay, that I'm happy. The build literally builds itself, you know?

This looks like being yet another masterpiece Lis. very well done, I disliked these chappies from Oblivion because they fought on Umarils side, that said my dislike for them dosent make them any less interesting, best of luck with its completion, I look forward to the finished article as always.

Thanks, Bones. Right now she's level 18 and I'm tearing my way through anything undead or Necromancery. Destruction and Resto levels are not quite where I want them, but it's not that big of a deal. I can only level so quickly when I'm not training the skills and I refuse to go wailing on Mud crabs for hours. That's not fun. Killing undead and Necromancers is.

Keeping it real though. She can clear a whole room of undead, but a bear killed her. :D

HAHA, swap out heavy armor with light armor, so if you are going light, you have 2/5 Agile defender.

Note to self: Add that the choice of Light Armor or Heavy makes no difference. It is based on what your aesthetics are and what mods you have or don't have running.
