which one won?... It looks like they all were deleted; the winner of the deathmatch is (supposed to be) guaranteed survival, at least until its next deathmatch. That's the point of a winner; it's the 'prize' for winning.

Yes, and it didn't run a full 24 hours either, closer to 21, less than that if you count when the poll was put up.

Well, if you say so Bryn :

The Midnight Hunter, by Matt Benecke

Hodling sat back down and stared into the fire. He seemed lost as to what to say.
"Hodling?" Norrid prompted. "Who was that man?"
Hodling sighed, but didn't blink. Norrid could see the orange ribbons of the fire dancing in the old mans eyes.

"Some say," Holding began, "that he was a founding member of the Cult of Nocturnal back in Valenwood. But after they shunned him and murdered his family he went to the city in which they were based and burned it to the ground. In the blaze several hundred mer were killed. Every member of the Cult of Nocturnal had died in the fire, but a province-wide search had begun to find the firestarter. He fled from the forests of Valenwood, into Cyrodiil, where he lived for several decades. To the Valenwood Council he had simply disappeared, so they requested aid from the Empire. He became a fugitive throughout all of Tameriel, and was found by the Empire after keeping his head down for years. They say that in the decades he was in hiding in Cyrodiil he had changed his ways and had vowed to eradicate all of the followers of Nocturnal for what they had done to him. But he had been found, and so he fled to here. Skyrim."
"What happened next?" Hodling was reminded of a small child by Norrid's eagerness.

"He was caught by the Empire. They'd followed him here and had ambushed him as he slept." Hodling hadn't taken his eyes from the fire.
"Oh," Norrid said bluntly, his eagerness evaporated. "Is that the end?"
Hodling gave a small chuckle. "No, Norrid. No it is not. You see, when morning came a squad of Imperials went to investigate the site, since their comrades had failed to return. What they found was… disturbing. Their comrades had been torn roughly, limb from limb. Several had been gouged and beaten beyond recognition. Some parts were missing. All of them were dead, and there was no sign of the assailant."
Norrid had paled. He'd heard enough of these kinds of injuries to know what was the cause. "Werewolf?" He whispered, terrified.

Hodling nodded. "He disappeared again, and was sighted in Riften almost a year later. In Riften he joined with the Nightingales, devoted Followers of Nocturnal."
"So much for going back on his ways…"

"Aye, but he double crossed them. He killed all of them, silently, efficiently. Slit their throats. He was, by right, the last Nightingale. But he had turned his back on Nocturnal, and would pay for killing her followers. He was cursed with undeath, and would see the world rot around him. And when the End Days finally came, he would remain on Nirn, and never be accepted into whatever afterlife he believed in. Only then, on a dying planet, would he slowly decay into nothing. He hid his face and took his punishment. No one knows who he is."
Norrid looked at Hodling, eyes wide with fear and wonder. "Then who is he?"
It was only then Hodling met Norrid's eyes. His mouth curled into a grim frown. "The Midnight Hunter."

The Midnight Hunter is unmatched with his skill with bows. He's a stealthy patron, and is a master in the art of misdirection, being able to steal from victims with ease without having to harm them or, more importantly, without them even noticing. Although preferring the undetected route, the Midnight Hunter is a powerhouse in close combat. He duel wields swords and daggers with ease, and can make short work of his enemies. As a last resort the Midnight Hunter will unleash his secret and will demolish his enemies. He prefers to avoid magic, but is equipped with enchanted items. He is somewhat of an antihero, only killing when necessary but seemingly devoid of mercy, pity and remorse. His mission is unclear, since he hunts the forces of darkness but will ally himself with them briefly for a sufficient reward. He is definitely a mysterious character.

Race: For this build I recommend being a Wood Elf, since the backstory states he (or she, if you desire) is from Valenwood. But any stealth-based race will do.

Stats: A Magicka/Health/Stamina ratio 0:1:1. You can toss it up a bit if you want, but Magicka isn't a necessary part for this build.

Major Skills: Archery - The Midnight Hunter is a ranged combat/stealth based character, so Archery is vital. It helps being a Wood Elf, since the archery skill is increased straight off the bat. There's something satisfying about taking down hordes of enemies with nothing but a bow and arrow. Plus, and this is not a necessity by any means, the Midnight Hunter is just that. A hunter. You don't have to, but I had fun playing the hunter in my free time.

Pickpocket - This is a long grind to get good at, but it's necessary. The Extra Pockets perk is essential for extra carry weight, and since the Midnight Hunter only kills when he has to, pickpocket is the way to go when you want loot from someone you don't have to kill. It really does compliment the stealth of the character, too.

Minor Skills: Light Armour - Purely for defensive and stealth purposes. Work towards the unhindered perk.

Sneak - Mainly invest in the muffled movement and light foot perks, backstab and deadly aim are useful too.

One Handed - Faster duel wielding, mainly. Feel free to invest in it more.

Smithing - Steel smithing and Arcane Blacksmith perks vital for the character, since pretty much everything he has is enchanted.

Armour: Nightingale Armor - this armor is, as described by some guards, like forged midnight. It fits with the theme of the Midnight Hunter being unknown, since he is masked, and the fortify stamina and resist frost serve the character well.

Weapons: Zephyr - This bow fires 30% faster then a regular bow. Combine that with the quick shot perk and you become somewhat of a fast shooter.

The Pale Blade - on top of doing 25 points of frost damage, the Pale Blade will make enemies up to level 16 flee from battle for 30 seconds. (Note that this version of the Pale Blade is the best and can only be acquired level 27+. Every version below this is considerably weaker.)

Valdr's Lucky Dagger - 25% chance of getting critical hits.

Other Items: Hircine's Ring - allows for the play to have an unlimited amount of werewolf transformations a day rather than the stock standard one. You have to finish the quest to be able to use this though.

Amulet of Zenithar - Chances are you'll be trading a lot of what you find, since on the whole it will be unneeded. Since the Midnight Hunter doesn't focus at all on speech, having this amulet makes prices 10% better.

Recommended Quests: The Thieves Guild quests - To obtain the Nightingale Armour you must complete Trinity Restored in the Thieves Guild quest line.

Companions quests - To contract Lycanthropy which gives the ability to become a Werewolf you must complete the Silver Hand quest.

Ill Met By Moonlight - Upon completion, this quest rewards you with Hircine's Ring when refusing to kill Sinding.

Lost to the Ages - Near the beginning of this quest you will find Zephyr.

The Pale Lady - Completing this quests rewards you with the Pale Blade.

Hunter and Hunted - Completing this quest rewards you with Valdr's Lucky Dagger
