Well, he mended the situation as best he could. He tried recontacting the Dawnguard, to no avail, so when he stumbled upon the mothpriest and got attacked by anyone around, het just cleared the place and urged the man to leave, never reporting a single word on his whereabouts. That and he has ended plenty of vampires by now.
@Librari; They def are : D Nah, he knicked that one from a Stormcloak camp. It's not his style to be a thief, but he was in a very dire strait

He did, but it was his own fault. One could argue wether or not the backfire was proportionate to his mistake, but he did grow and learn from it.

But then there is Delphine))) Do you know that you can not only go to Windhelm as a Thalmor but also enter Delphine's inn as a Thalmor and talk to her? That, IMO, is ever lamer than Windhelm. In the story it's totally different))))) Can you imagine Delphine's feelings and houghts when she meets the Dragonborn who is a Thalmor?)))
