    The Ride of the Rohirrim still makes me go all funny Lissette. Just incredible!

    Interesting factoid: did you know that just about everyone in New Zealand who can ride a horse is in that scene? A nationwide appeal went out and riders turned up in droves :)

    And I am SO doing a LotR / Hobbit tour while I am down there!

    Yeah, I think it's in the extended DVD edition. There is one dude who is riding, an extra, and I'm like. Wow. It looks so awesome, cause he's carrying a spear I think and he looks so wild. 

    If I were down there, I'd do a darn tour too. I don't care what people think. I am a LOTR nerd and I am proud of it!

    I heard recently that the set for helms deep was built in an old stone quarry and the owner was paid well for its use. The set was still intact when he put it up for sale and the buyer KNOCKED IT DOWN!!!

    True I think. It was also partly a car park too I think!
