These mods transform Skyrim into an immersive and unrelenting risk/reward experience, where your adventuring skill is put to the ultimate test. There are new lands, items, weapons, monsters, factions, and more, all patched to be Requiem compatible. Ultimate Skyrim draws heavy inspiration from Dark Souls, Minecraft, the Binding of Isaac, and the roguelike genre in general. The goal is to immerse players in the world by forcing them to make informed choices about their resources and objectives. There are many different ways to grow your character, but each path presents unique obstacles, and survival demands preparation. If we approach danger flippantly, we will pay the price. Ultimate Skyrim boasts many new features and changes, but perhaps the most significant thematic alteration from vanilla Skyrim is that the player is no longer the "center of attention". Skills must be trained to be effective. Powerful enemies can be encountered at any level. Skyrim's denizens act on their own will, and do not cater their behavior around the player. Progress is difficult, and even slight accomplishments are more satisfying as a result.
