Sorry for being a naggy Thalmor bitch here too, but I just can't help it. Why Ysmir and Talos suddenly are in the Ancient Nordic Pantheon??? They both lived in 2E, that's not really ancient, or did I again miss something? And there does this place Orkey?..

The Fox God doesn't always represent Talos, the ninth divine has changed from person to person. The ones I know of are:
Pelinal Whitestrake
Hans the Fox
Talos/Tiber Septim

Oh and as for Ysmir, Ysmir is a title, not an actual person.
The title has belonged to:
Wulfharth
Pelinal Whitestrake
Talos/Tiber Septim
The Last Dragonborn

As most of those are Shezzarines, it seems like Ysmir is the title that people gave a person they thought to be a Shezzarine, i.e. incarnation of Lorkhan... It means that this Pantheon has 2 Lorkhans. Either the fox is not really Ysmir, or the ancient Nords were very illogical guys...

I make reference to Shor being a snake in Part 2 though and there is also this line from my TOC. Though in Part 4, you can see that Aelberon has done some research and now wonders if Shor is a Fox as he's since learned about Orkey. Darn student of Theology, always probing. I don't really mind getting it wrong on some counts. From a character standpoint, I think they can't know everything. Even my dragons don't know everything. They know a lot but not everything.

I think it's totally OK.
However, I want to know the right answer. Two versions of Lorkhan in one pantheon don't make sence to me. The story with Ysgramor and Hermaeus Mora makes me think that the right Lorkhan would be the fox, but I've seen him called a snake too.
