I dig it. The text color is wrong though. I've done a lot of graphic design in my school newspaper and that orange font color is bad on the Aurora Borealis. A black or white script would be better.
Edit: Similarly the text should be simplified. Keep that big circular element, but blow it up bigger. Keep the falmer script where it is and have the square-shaped text a bit bigger. Lose the two cursive scripts and he mushroom symbol; they'll just detract. Remember, the text is supposed to look mystical and cool, but isn't for reading. This means that small text is useless, as it looks worse than larger, equally cool symbols.

Agreed on cursive scripts and mushroom symbol, but won't the picture seem empty if I remove them? If I make the circular element too big it'll lose it's focus with the moon. Maybe make it the size of the moon and leave one of cursive scripts? You may've noticed that it's actually a left page of Shalidor's Insights (posted above) Dwemer script was actually a little larger than the Falmer one originally, I made them the same size for symmetry, but I guess I can center them vertically after reverting. Also don't you think the same black text for all the scripts will look boring?
Edit: Did you refer to the text on the left of circular element when said "square shaped text"?

OK, I don't have access to Photoshop now, but will certainly edit this tomorrow. How's this sound - making the circle larger, removing cursive scripts, moving that magic script on the left to the bottom and adding dragon symbol to the top corner? Also do I need to make all the text, including Flamer and Dwemer scripts black or leave those as they are?

Adding a chest to the top banner? Nah, I'd have one with a shot from Apocrypha if I was going to glam it up...
Less is sometimes more...
The image you've made is cool but it seems a little too random and pales compared with those great Morrowind style images you posted...
