Skyrim Remastered Thread

My big question is whether the PC mods will work in the alternate platform from something like the Nexus or if people will have to go through some kind of official Bethesda process. Suggested mods are: -Apocalypse (adds over a hundred spells to the game) -Frostfall (Environmental temperature survival mod) -Campfire (camping mod, paired with Frostfall) -Realistic Needs and Diseases (Hunger/Thirst/Tiredness/Sickness survival mod) -Belt-Mounted Quivers (for not clipping with backpacks/two-handed weapons) There are several more based oh graphics that I'd wait to suggest until we know how the updated version of the game is going to look in its entirety.

Those kind of mods require SKSE which I don't know if the Remastered edition even has it.

Most people seem to feel very excited about this game, but I don't really see the point. I agree that the mods for consoles are awesome, but it's the graphics that bother me. I mean, there are already mods for PC to make your game look incredible like that, but then again no mods for console players. I feel like having to buy the same game again just for better graphics is pointless... I was getting really excited about a possible Elder Scrolls VI, but I guess we'll have to wait.

A quick question here (sorry if it has already been answered), does anyone know if the content is going to be exactly the same ? Like will we be seeing the same NPCs, quests and dungeons as in the original Skyrim ?

Most probably not that's a major problem with console mods no script extenders witch severely limits the mods and type of mods available for console users.

Honestly I'm a bit "meh" on this.  Currently I play on 360 and I've put in thousands of hours playing the game.  The mod option, however limited it may be, is interesting and would possibly put a bit of new life into the game, depending on what mods are available for console.

Will I eventually pick this up?  Probably.  I'll be getting a PS4 very soon and already have a long list of games to play on it so it will be awhile until I pick this up.  Really it depends on how far out TES 6 is and if another open world fantasy game comes out between now and then that scratches the same itch.

Maybe 2018 if we are still waiting for TES 6 and a comparable game of high fantasy hasn't been made, then yeah I will probably become nostalgic for that feeling and will pick this up.

Which makes me wonder again about paid mods.

Make no mistake, paid mods WILL happen, and there are quite a few modders who wouldn't mind being paid for their hard work. With that said, remember that the gaming community freaked out about paid mods in the not-too-distant past. IMO, Bethesda will have to slowly break-in the community to the idea of paid mods. They'll likely do this by showcasing tremendously exceptional mods, which will be behind an inexpensive pay wall. This way, you'll have the choice to buy them or stay with the free mods. Slowly, the number of mods behind a pay-wall will increase, and the number of free mods will decrease.

    Here we go again!

    It's going to be a cash-grab in a cash-grab.

Nah. I doubt it all ever come to pass.
