Skills - How Many is Too Many?
Hi All. I've read so many builds now I've finally decided to join and I've got an idea rolling around for a build. The issue I have is there are around 10 skills I can think of uses for but most builds I've seen have 6 - 8.
Is there a maximum number of recommended Skills to include in a build (the guide just says the minimum is 4)?

You can use as many skills as you like, but a refined build will usually use 4-6 and a larger build will usually use more.
You can have as many skills as you want, but make sure you justify each of your skills and show how they have synergy with your other skills and build choices.
If you want 10 skills, go for it! Just make sure you aren't using any skills that aren't necessary and you'll be fine.

The problem with 10 skills is most people try to get them fully developed. That can put you at a level 70 or 80 build, and very few people have the patience to take a build that far.
On the other hand, some people feel that slightly perking a skill tree (like throwing 2 skill points into Block just to get to Quick Reflexes) seems forced or is a waste of perk points. Personally, I find nothing wrong with that so long as the perk is essential to the build's RP and Gameplay. But it's possible that I'm a bit of an anomaly.

It would be extensive work that'll take considerable time to finish, but I was wondering if overhauling each of the pre-existing classes from Oblivion into Skyrim builds would be a good and/or interesting idea if it hasn't been done already? I rather enjoy the prospect, but if others are not too excited I would rather not sink so much time into such an extensive series of builds that won't really get me anywhere.
Also, on;y if this has not already been done(I feel it has), would it be worth it to do a build series where each is the champion of one of the Divines and a complementary series of champions of Daedric princes. They'd obviously be largely about roleplay and the lore, and they sound fun to me, but I am worried they've been done before.
Any thoughts or comments on these ideas would be much appreciated :)

Well darn. Good thing I checked first. I was thinking of something much more in depth for each build, but what's done is done and I can't just rip off their work. Oh well, I have other build ideas in mind. And you wouldn't happen to know if the other 2 ideas have been done already do you? I'm trying to find out for myself, but I'm not the best at locating and searching things on this site yet.
