I like the concept, but the whole 'crystal' thing kinda turns me off. The requirement basically makes you beat around the bush in terms of what you can or cannot do with warhammer. Personally, if you didn't go crystal, or whatever, the Volendrung hammer with 50+ stamina absorb is already there for your use.
I played several warhammer characters, and all of them were deleted early game, because I just couldn't find a good battle strategy that didn't involve dying by being left exposed after every power attack. And the blocking with just the weapon sucks at early levels.
I wonder if anyone has found a better strategy that involves closing the gaps quickly after laying yourself wide open for the enemy after an attack?
