1. Is there a way to gain a permanent pet/animal follower (other than the dogs that you can buy or via quest). I'm speaking more specifically towards wild animals like bears, sabre tooth cats, etc...

@ John LeBlanc: There is a way that I came up with but it involves the use of an exploit and alchemy which isn't going to work our for your Dark Druid. If you are interested it's covered in detail in my recent The Druids of Galen character build. It may not work specifically for this character but it may give you some inspiration.

Hey gang. Two questions related to a build I'm efforting...
1. Per the UESP for the Ring of Namira, if you are wearing the ring and then take the Ill Met By Moonlight quest; you can forever feed off bodies and get the Ring's bonus (Namira). I am interpreting that to mean "even without wearing the ring". Is this correct? I have taken the quest and the ring auto-equipped but all I see changing is the loss of the +50 Stamina (from Namira) and the "Eat" option no longer appears when I click on a humanoid corpse. So I'm not sure how to get this "glitch" to work. Any suggestions?
2. I've already asked this one but no real responses yet. I am understanding that using a self enchanted weapon (even a fork) along with an unenchanted staff in your offhand, you can then "bash-attack" and get the enchantment bonus as damage. I can see that the process works...sort of...but I'm running about an 80-90% "bash only" result and only a 10% (or less) result of actually seeing the enchantment damage taking place. Anyone have any knowledge or experience with this "spear technique" and how to improve the results from the "random" results to get more actual damage on the bash-attack?
Thanks!

I appreciate you even posting that. Man, it's been deathly quiet in here.
