Hello all, Emer here!
Last year, while the Blog was on the Ning 3.0 platform, I had created a thread titled "Draw Your Character." Since this discussion didn't feel like transferring back to Ning 2.0 with the rest of them, I am reposting it for you all to see. If you want to see the original discussion, it can be found here.
After putting about thirty minutes of effort into it, I drew up a rough copy of one of my old Live Roleplaying Characters, a Tsaesci by the name of Yni'ka Paal. I took a few photos as I progressed, and eventually decided to stop due to hand pain (or else I may have tried a bit harder ).
As you can see, I am no artist! However, I would love to see some of the characters as you all envision them! Feel free to post progressional pictures, as I have done, so that we can all see the steps you take in your drawings!

Ok I think I'll get the ball rolling on this incarnation of the thread
Now it is just the progression of my last drawing (of the character from my last build). That's alright right?
If you can't see the first two then just tilt your screen until you can; it works for me, I scan all mine so in the early stages they don't come out all that well.
I just have one last thing to say. Not an artist my ass.

I put together a progression piece not too long ago. Here you can see the transition from a very rough sketch all the way to full color render. I wish to revisit my old tutorial and hopefully simplify a lot of steps.

In need of a quick break from the College of Winterhold, so had a go at my Redguard Danvir who is arrowsworn. I don't do people or animals very often.
Had trouble positioning Danvir for this shot, I managed a better one when he was wearing his "gifted" arch mage robes, but didn't think that was appropriate

I can't contribute a progressional image of how I draw my characters (as the scanner in my folks' house is more finicky than a supermodel), but I can share three variations of one picture: black and white, colored, and colored with a background. So I guess that's sort of a progressional transition... sort of.

You have a real talent for drawing Meli. This looks great.
On the down side, its a shame he's not an argonian . Still it's really well drawn. Keep it up I ca't wait to see more of your drawings.
