This is the point I'm excited for everyone, the time where things get a little more... crazy. We're looking at rules and regulations in the distance now folks, it's time to talk about
Chaotic Good
And if the previous discussions are anything to go off of, this seems to many people's favourite one, so I'm expecting loads of interesting replies! Are these guys the passionate priests who'll never give up on a cause, or the 'the ends justify the means' bloodbath-inducing zealots who's heart is in the right place, but actions sometimes aren't. Get discussing everyone, and make sure you do the standard 'reply to one comment after you've made your own' gubbins, helps to get a good chat going.

I consider CG to be vigilantes or rebels, more than willing to take the law into their own hands to do what they think is right. I think they are also personalized by a sense of recklessness and impatience ot just hate the law for one reason or another.

I agree: CG... my favorite vigilante build alignment. You get to feel good about yourself without having to worry about all the legal hoops that lawful good characters are constrained by ;D

Never thought of vigilantes and their alignment but yeah it fits perfectly doesn't it? As for being reckless, do you think that that's an extension of their attitude towards rules? Or can there be completely level-headed CG characters?

By reckless I mean they don't care about or consider the consequences of their actions. I think if you're willing to cast aside the rules holding society together on a whim you're very reckless in that respect.

See that's what I thinks interesting with this alignment - I reckon the most rationale and level-headed people could be part of this aligment. Ignoring rules for 'the greater good', for those that aren't completely mental, takes a lot of deliberation and careful thought, or they'd be completely directionless. Maybe this type of person lies closer to the NG side of CG, but I still reckon there's some thought to it. Basically 'there's method to the madness' epitomised.

I'm starting to think that there's an entire race of CG beings in everyone's best talking cats, the Khajiit :D Is it because we all do tend towards CG and will bend the rules or disregard them alltogether with a healthy dose of gentle selfishness? Or perhaps we just can't help but respect the casual freedoms the cats enjoy?
At any rate, Chaotic Good is my favorite alignment. Individuality, standing up to the man, slightly unpredicatable, and as wild and free as a bird. These guys know themselves, and while may take up a cause, have no need of one to justify their actions or to motivate them.
