Hello and welcome to The Story Corner. I’m Sotek, one of the Hosts of The Story Corner and I think it’s great that you want to contribute to this site.
To make it easier for you, I’ll talk you through a few of the stages because there’s a lot to take in when you first join a site like Tamriel Vault.
I know you are itching to get right in to your writing but there are a few things we need to do first. These will put you in good stead with your work and enable others to see what you have created.
RULES
To ensure the quality of posted content, we hosts have compiled a list of simple, easy to follow rules when posting blogs. Please take a moment to read and understand them. If you do not adhere to these rules, your blog will be subject to deletion. We will try to give fair warning ahead of time so you can make any changes you need to.
Mandatory Rules
Your blog must have all of the following:
1.A Title
2.Minimum of 400 Words (poems and ToC's are the exception)
3.A Table of Contents (if there are multiple entries or if you have a collection of Poems)
4. No more than one blog post per day per writer. The reason for this is that blogs rely on readers to be able to find them on the feed. If an author floods the feed with too many blogs, other blogs get buried.
In addition, as with all forms of content on this site, please do not ‘like’ your own posts.
Writing Etiquette
These standards are not enforced, but strongly suggested:
1. Use Paragraphs and Line Breaks
◾Separate your work with proper line breaks between paragraphs and dialogue – no giant walls of text, please!
2. Check Spelling
◾Review your work to correct misspelled words or other grammar mistakes.
3. Use Proper Text Formatting
◾No unreadable fonts, font colors, or excessive use of capital letters.
4. Keep Mature Content Sensible
◾Do not post blogs that are overly graphic or explicit – caution readers of any mature themes in your work. If you do have such content, then you MUST use a warning at the start of your post.
'Author’s Note: Adult Content' would suffice for all adult themes. It is a strong warning yet it gives away nothing to the plot of your story.
Finally, please be considerate of others. Constructive criticism is welcome, but do not outright attack an author’s work. Keep comments thoughtful and considerate; respect your fellow readers and writers!
Here in The Story Corner, blogs are divided into CATEGORIES:
1. TSC: CB Story
These are stories that have strong ties with Character Builds.
2. TSC: Classics
Classics are stories based upon the older TES games like Morrowind or Oblivion.
3. TSC: Fallout
These are stories based on the Fallout series.
4. TSC: Long Story
These stories are of multiple entries where the combined word count is over 25,000 words.
5. TSC: Mixed
Mixed stories are ones which combine several elements from differing stories like Fallout and Morrowind.
6. TSC: Poems
Poems and small pieces of literature.
7. TSC: Short Story
Short stories are only a few chapters or even just one singular one. They are no more than 25,000 words when combined.
8. TSC: Skyrim

9. TSC ToC
The ToC is your Table of Contents page.Itt acts as a central hub fo rall your chapters/short stories/poems.
When you post your TOC or a blog be sure to pick the most relevant Group class for it.
If you’re planning to write a Long Story, you will need to make a Table of Contents (ToC). To make a ToC, create Blog that contains at least the following:
◾A title (no swear words)
◾A brief synopsis of your story
◾Links to each chapter in your story
You will need to regularly update your TOC as you release new chapters; you can do this by adding links.
You can find guides to posting Blogs and how links work in the forums as well as other useful guides.

Hey guys - I wanted to repost my Gearhead Story chapters from the old site. I have them all saved...but I was wanting a little guidance for the new site. First - the story is short chapters based in Fallout 4, on my character build. So as for category - is it TSC:Fallout or TSC: CB Story?
Next - I see the one post per 24 hr rule is gone, but any suggestions on best way to post my chapters?
Lastly, I didn't see a post (but will keep looking) on how to link to the previous and next chapters...do you just put the link(s) at the end or each?
THANKS

Awwwooo Hello Motty
Sorry for the lateness of the reply.
With regards to your Gearhead Story, it fills both criteria for TSC:Fallout and the CB:Story so the choice is yours. Personally I would place it in the CB group but it’s up to you.
To the now departed 24 hour rule, I would suggest posting maybe one or two a day, maybe on the odd day post three. There’s a fair few members in TSC so this gives others a chance to show off their work too.
I tend to use pictures for links. All you need to do is post the picture you want, click on it, click on the 'link' icon then paste the URL.
It’s common practice to use three links. PREVIOUSE, NEXT and ToC but again this is up to you. Feel free to howl if you need, want more help.

So I just wanted to check in and ask something real quick. Is the old one blog post a day rule still in effect? If so, I assume that this doesn't include the ToC (meaning I could post a ToC and the first entry in the same day.).
Just been thinking about taking up writing again, or trying to at least so I don't get too rusty.

ToC's just get posted as blogs. The only difference between that and your story would be the name and some of the tags/categories.
EDIT: Is that what you meant or was it more specific?
