Notice 10/29/14:
In November I participate in NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. This November is no exception, for you all who don't know, NaNo is where over 200,000 crazy people from all over the world attempt to write 50,000 words worth of a story or novel in the month of November. Last year was my first year and I got to just over 14k. This year I'm attempting 20k.
I digress. Anyway, I'm not really going to be updating Aeron's Tale during the next month. (To be completely honest, I'll be writing most of it then.) However, posting will continue in December...just as soon as I've finished proofreading it. Oh goodie.
The Assassin's Tale
I never wanted to be the Dragonborn. I was just trying to get away from my family and the life I was forced to live. Little did I know when I traveled there, I would be pulled into the conflicts of Skyrim. And it all started with the Return of the Dragons.
(Note the First: If you're not a Cicero fan, the Assassin's Tale probably isn't for you. However, he won't come up for some time.)
On the meaning of Names
Ever since I start writing, I've been fascinated by the meaning of names. Eriaren actually means something, it's not just a slight tongue twister; Eria is Welsh for 'snow' and ren, in Welsh, means 'ruler' but the meaning I prefer is the Japanese meaning of 'water lily' or 'lotus' Therefore, my screen name here means Water Lily of the Snow or something along those lines. Rather appropriate considering I love flowers and winter.
Now Aeron is also Welsh; it's Welsh for 'Battle'. Rather appropriate for the Dragonborn, yes? Yale is 'Uplands' or 'heights', also in Welsh. Therefore, Aeron Yale is Battle Heights. She didn't consciously put the name together that way, Aeron actually just picked names off the top of her head.
