Dude, I'm really impressed by all these spells you guys are coming up with! I especially like your Spell of Soul-Sundering, so much so that I'd like to borrow it for a revamp of my Equilibrium-based build for the contest. If it's a big deal, I'll make sure to credit you. I'm also really excited to see your next build.
Also, continuing along the whole wizard vs. sorcerer dynamic: if your Vancian Wizard and your Transient Sorcerer were to fight...I mean we all know it'd be epic, but who do you think would win? I'll get the popcorn...

Thanks for the insights, man! Always good to bounce ideas off someone. Speaking of which, I thought up a new spell for you to add to the list:
Invocation of the Charging Nova
Whirlwind Sprint + Whirlwind Cloak + Sun Flare
This ancient spell was the magnum opus of a nameless Nordic Tongue whose name and other advances in perfecting the Thu'um were lost to history. With a simple shout of arcane might, the wizard races across the battlefield, impacting his foes with the blazing force of a meteor.
Invocation of the Charging Nova is meant to be a devastating first strike if you find yourself in ambush position. To use, simply dual-cast Whirlwind Cloak, use Whirlwind Sprint to charge into the middle of the fray, and immediately activate Sun Flare. Voila! The enemies take enormous amounts of close-up fire damage, and surviving enemies get thrown backwards by the Whirlwind Cloak. Think of it like using a Biotic Charge in Mass Effect. KA-BOOM! Lemme know if ya like it!

Naw, I wasn't actually playing the Vancian Wizard. I'd just cleansed the Sun Stone and picked up all the words of Whirlwind Sprint and thought I'd try out something new. The rest is history, as they say.

By the way, did you ever think of adding the Summon Karstaag power to the Vancian Wizard's spellbook? I don't even think you'd need anything else--it's an epic power to have by itself.
