Inspired by The Wizard of Oz and Recently the Oz movie. OZ is an assassin who despite not having any magical abilities dazzles the world of Skyrim with trickery by using enchanting and Alchemy to make the world believe he is a powerful Wizard. Oz perks are that of a Nightblade but however has no perks in any of the magical arts other then Enchanting. Giving the illusion of being a powerful wizard but in truth being a sneaky Thief and Trickster.

The Wizard has arrived to bring order to another World.

    The Style

Oz plays as a sort of Nightblade. Using his magical artifacts he collected throughout the world of Skyrim and his powerful potions and enchantments, he can bring down any beast. He slips through dungeons unnoticed slaying enemies one by one, using his powerful enchanted daggers and possibly even invisibility potions. However if things go wrong Oz is not an easy opponent to take down. With all the artifacts and possily even vampiric of bestial powers you have the upper hand in battle. Summon powerful creatures. Use the Wabbajack to turn your enemies into sweet roles. Or just vanish all over again and reappear behind your enemies. In face to face battle Oz is a dual wielder of powerful enchanted elemental Daggers. And with powerful healing potions and resistant to element potions he is prepared for any occasion.

However in the world of Skyrim you are the Arch-Mage of the College Of Winterhold and a powerful Wizard. You are a master of many magics and have highly advanced staves and potions to create the illusion you are what you aren't. Invisibility an Expert illusion spell you will recreate with a potion. Create Walls of Storms and Ice and Fire and give the illusion of an Expert Destructive Mage. Use the Wabbajack and instantly kill an enemy. Summon Atronaches using the Atronach forge.Turn people mad with frenzy potions. Make it seem as though the Wizard and dragonborn they've been hoping for has appeared.

Oz is a very squishy character so the goal is to take down enemies as fast as possible using poison and staves and summons. Apply weaknesses so your atronaches can destroy them faster.

However due to the fact you use no magic and you get less damage output from power attacks with enchanted weaponry. Its efficient to put every single one of yours stat points in health. You will have no defense. But the health will be extremely useful in surviving.

Race: As Oz Is the leader of his own world. He is an Imperial to present his royal qualities.

Stone: Shadow. Amaze the people of Skyrim with your ability to vanish at the blink of an eye.

Weapons And Items: A staff/item of soul trap is the most thing in your arsenal. Use this to get all the soul gems you need to refill your items. Also you will not a large amount of soul gems. I mostly stole mine from the mages guild and from there found then naturally throughout the world of Skyrim. My favorite weapon to use is the Wabbajack. As its really efficient at slayings Dragons and is the most traditionally best at creating amazement. By turning enemies into animals and sweetrolls.

For a more ruthless Oz you can use the skull of corruption and black soul gems to create a dark powerful Wizard.

Gear: Archmages Robe. To portray the fact you are a powerful wizard.

    Skills

Alchemy: Oz will have to face various enemies throughout the world of skyrim and due to his lack of innate magical potential he will need a supplement. Thats where alchemy comes in handy. Need to vanish? Create powerful invisibility potions, Restoration powers can be easily replaced by healing spells. Become immune to the elements. You are an alchemist. An inventor. A creator of illusions with the use of no illusion magic at all. You will tame the natural magics in skyrim and use them to your advantage.

Enchanting: This skill will serve the same purpose as Alchemy. Creating the illusion of Magic. Enchant powerful magics using the already existing magics in Skyrim and the souls of the creatures you defeat to create powerful weapons of flames, ice, and thunder. Give yourself the magic you cannot use yourself. Taking Soul Siphon And Soul Squeezer will prove to be useful with all the Magical artifacts you are using.

Sneak And One Handed: Oz has no real powers of his own. So he relies on trickery and deceit to deceive his enemies. When his staves fail him his trusty enchanted Daggers will be at his side to dispatch enemies. Shadow Warrior will give you quick upper hand in battles. However this is not the person you wish the portray. In the World of Skyrim you are a wizard and you must keep that illusion. However throughout the world of Skyrim people will ask you to use your ability's to accomplish goals and your false magics will not be enough. So this will come in handy.

Pick-Pocket: An optional skill with lots of utility value. Pick your enemies clothes right off them then destroy them. A tool to amaze also. Make peoples clothes vanish! But is your Oz a Thief?

     Starting Sources Of Your Magic

Due to Oz having no innate magical powers. He uses various other means to give him powers. Often at a price. How far will you go to convince the people of Skyrim you are their Wizard?

Since you use no magic. The first thing you need to full up any of your items is an item of Soul Trap. You can get one of these from the Dragon Born DLC Staff creator. Or just try your luck looking for an item of soul binding though the smiths of skyrim. Or even the Conjuration Master of the college should have an Staff Of Soul Trapping.

Your second goal will be the atronach forge under the college.

    Staff of the Flame Atronach
    1 Broom
    1 Fire Salts
    1 Corundum Ingot/Orichalcum Ingot
1 Soul Gem (Greater or higher)
    Staff of the Frost Atronach
    1 Broom
    1 Frost Salts
    1 Refined Moonstone
1 Soul Gem (Greater or higher)
    Staff of the Storm Atronach
    1 Broom
    1 Void Salts
    1 Orichalcum Ingot
1 Soul Gem (Greater or higher)

Some of these Materials might be difficult to get. But this gets across the point of the character. Creating the illusion of magic is difficult. I spent about an hour searching for my first item of Soul Trap and that hour I felt the character. Magic is difficult to recreate, but Oz will do it.

    Moral Choices

Will you become a vampire or werewolf in to further your magical abilties? Will you kill a man for the Skull Of Corruption. Will you let its magic corrupt you?

Oz will face many dilemmas in the world of Skyrim. Will you portray him as a greedy thief who puts up the illusion of the mighty Wizard for his own selfish purposes? Or as a man who has Skyrims good at heart? This portrayal of Oz is up to you. But the most important question is. How far will you go for magical abilities? How much will you sacrifice?

The fun of Oz is recreating the character in a new world. Oz at one point convinced a world that he was a powerful wizard. Now its your turn,

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain

All images have been restored for this build. While I try my best to keep the formatting as close to the original as possible, there are some unavoidable differences as a result of differing platforms... for this I apologize.

Also, please feel free to remove the 'Restored' banner at the end of the build--I put it there as a courtesy to let the reader know that the build has been worked on by somebody other than its original creator without his or her knowlege.

That's been my favorite part about the restoration project... I keep finding myself saying, "Oh yeah, I forgot about this one." It's been a great reminder for me about just how many awesome builds we have floating around on this site. :D
