    The Merc

The rescent Cyber Punk Event has inspired me to try my hand at a Fallout 4 build (particuarly Noodles' "The Peacemaker"). It reminded me how much I love using a revolver in Fallout 4, and I thought I'd share one of my builds from awhile back that I've had a lot of fun playing.

This is an old build for me and one that I've come back to several times since playing Fallout 4. The build is a essentially a Silver tounged gun for hire who always gets the most money She can out of a job. If there's a good amount of caps on the table you can bet this gunslinging merc will be there.

    Constant Load Out:

Widow Shotgun: A classic Double Barrel Sawn of Shotgun, good for putting down ferals and other nasties that like it up close. (This is one the most beautifully crafted weapon mods I've ever seen, the detail makes the gun truly unique). The vanilla Double Barrel makes for a reliable alternative.

    Early Game Load Out:

Hand Made Revolver: A solid early game Sidearm, You can find it at Walden Pond or "Craft it" at the Chem Station for 750 caps (Also in leveled lists). it uses ammo types, I used the 45. variant, it's common cheap and easy to find. The pipe Revolver is a good stand in if you don't have the mod.

Hunting Rifle: A descent rifle for taking pot shots at distant enemies trade it in for the Garand as soon as you can afford it.

Drifters Coat: A worn out duster, you can find it on the dead raider across the Sanctury bridge, (usually, sometimes he has road leathers which will be fine as well). Once you have the required matariels trade it in for the Vault Dwellers Gunsliger Outfit.

Miltia Hat: You can usually pick this up outside the Museum of Freedom on the dead Minute Man.

    Final Load Out

    44. Magnum Revolver: #1 Weapon of Choice.  Enhanced with a few nifty modifications that by end game will allow you to craft a 5 round 45/70 Reciever,  place Kellogs "Unique Uniques" Mercenary Barrel and a unique Ace of Spades themed grip that boosts Charisma by 1 onto the revolver, all in all a real beaut of a piece that will blast the hell out of anything you come across with some heavy kickback.(I called mine "The Dead Mans Hand"). There is an easy to find 44. just East of the Red Rocket Gas Station. (Moded)

M1 Garand: An awesome mid to long range marksmans rifle. And it has the Iconic "Ping" to boot. (Mod)

Widow Shotgun:  Fully modded out with the Advanced Reciever and Muzzle Break there ain't anything thats going to walk away from a point blank shot from this bad boy. (I named mine "The Widowmaker").

Vault Dweller's Gunslinger Outfit: A very nice combination of a vault suit bandana and duster that is lore friendly and unique, and provides the Iconic look for the build. (Make sure to pick up the "New" Vault 111 jumpsuit before you the vault. It's amongst the boxes where the woman first gives you a vault suit in the prologue). (Mod)

Gunslinger's Stetson: Rounds off the look, a classic cowboy hat with Road goggles and an "Ace of Spades" tucked behind the goggle strap. What gunsling Merc is complete without one. Adds + 2 to Luck (Mod)

Leather Armor: Light leather armor chest piece, Sturdy Right arm, and Legs, modified to boiled for the darker look, and with the "Light Weight", for a little extra AP.

    A Note:

I'm happy to be working on this build, but it will be a wee while in the making.  I will however be droping back now and again to add tid bits here and there for the time being

Going into Fallout now, eh? Yeah, I double dip too. I'm not seeing too much Cyberpunk here, but could be that my definition of Cyberpunk is really rather narrow.

Nah it's not a cyberpunk build, so your judgments not out there :D, Just a steampunky gunslinger. The event just spured me into firing FO4 up again. I've always had a thing for the revolver. Played the hell out of Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Revolver before that. Planning on using a lot of Luck and Vats in this one, and maybe some grenades we'll see, I think I remember seeing a Dynamite stick mod at some point if I can find that I'll def's use the explosives perk.

hehe, well there you go. I had to play out of my element for the Cyberpunk event too, cause I loves me my shotguns. And of course, when I played Batty, like every stupid legendary drop was a damn combat or double barrel shotgun, because the Fallout gods were punishing me for not using them. Now, when I'm back to playing with my old double barrel, guess what? No legendary shotguns.

@Motty - Thanks mate I've had FO4 since it came out so all going well, I'll be sharing a few more of the ones I got stuck in my noggin... ahem "Grognak" ahem :D

@The Long-Chapper -  Yea I love shotguns as well. My first play through I did of  FO4 I managed to get a legendary explosive Double barrel, I called it Demons Breath :D. I'll be using the Double barrel quite a bit in this build (The Widow Shotgun Mod) Pretty much works the same as vanilla DB but has a few more mods and looks waaaay nicer. It's like the go to GTFO of my face weapon haha. Just so good for putting down dem Zombies I mean ghouls lol and stupid raiders that think running at you with a knife is a good idea. I rescently got a mod that allows you to detach legendary effects from weapons and armor pieces and put it on to somthing else, so thats pretty cool.

Yeah, for my other playthrough, I have a double barrel mod called, lol, Double-barreled. Adds some simple mods to the double barrel and the lever action. I also have a modded perk called shotgun surgeon. Replaces the basher perk with one specifically for shotguns. But it's funny, I didn't play Batty with any mods. Actually scored a few ps4 trophies with hiim.
