The Lawman
Class: Gunslinger, Sheriff
Alignment: Lawful Good
Skills: Gunslinging, Intimidation, Leadership, Rootin 'n tootin
So, I was planning to do a scavenger character called the Junk Rat as my next build, but this sounded more fun. I've never actually played a character who did much with settlements or went very far with the Minutemen. This character is perfect for that.
Inspired by old pre-war western films and his desire to protect innocent life, The Lawman has become a symbol of justice in the lawless post-apocalypse. He brings justice to the raiders, super mutants and ghouls that threaten Commonwealth civilians. He eliminates these evils by forcing criminals to stand down (via Intimidation perk) or dealing out a harsher sentence with a few choice weapons. His leadership skills allow him to not only protect the people living in the Commonwealth's settlements, but provide for and care for them as well. He is the hero they need and the hero they deserve. He's got true grit. Not to mention, a mean case of Clint Eastwood squint.
Once Upon a Time in the West East
"Baby sister, I was born game and I intend to go out that way," was Nate's favorite movie line when he was young. Growing up on the eastern coast, he always dreamed he could instead be out west. He was constantly watching and rewatching the old western films his grandfather held onto form his father. Rooster Cogburn and the like gave Nate the idea that he could someday become an old west sheriff, despite living on the other side of the country and being in the wrong time. In some way, he was able to protect people when he joined the military, but he felt more like it was senseless killing than true justice. He didn't always know what the person he gunned down had done to deserve death, or if they deserved it at all. When he returned home from his service, he became a police officer, much to his pleasure. The option was now available to talk first and shoot only as a last resort. It brought Nate closer to the sheriffs he idolized, and he sent many years on the police force. After the bombs fell and the world changed, Boston needed a hero, a champion of the people. There were many innocents in need of protection from the lawless world that Nate found himself stuck in, out of time and out of place. The world had transformed because of the bombs, and someone had to uhold law and order.

"Hands up raider scumbag or I'll gun ya down where ya stand!"
The Lawman's skills are centered around two main aspects. Talking and shooting, in that order. He'd rather try to stop crime peacefully, but he knows that is not always possible. Luck and Agility, when the situation doesn't go your way, allow to use your six shooter to deadly effect. The +2 in Agility is one level point and the point from the SPECIAL book. Charisma was maxed from the very beginning. Because the bobblehead for it is questlocked and the Intimidation perk is important, I overlooked what would normally be bad point placement.
The Rifleman

The Gunslinger

The Widowmaker
Weapons: Justice (Double Barrel Shotgun)
Perks: Rifleman
The Sheriff
Armor: Sheriff's Duster (Drifter Outfit -> Kellogg's Outift -> Hunter's Long Coat) Ten Gallon Hat (Militia Hat -> Black Cowboy Hat)
Perks: Toughness, Life Giver, Lone Wanderer, Local Leader, Intimidation,

Finally pulled myself away from Shadow of War (absolutely amazing game!) long enough to work on this. Finished writing the backstory and added a SPECIAL spread.
