Find him, and Close shut The Doors of Oblivion

In the final of this mini series of reminising, we have Oblivion a truly great game that has thousands of fans, but what are your memories of this massive open world game?, lets talk game play, mechanics, player attributes, what did you love/hate about this game? are there npc characters you will never forget? or some other memory you would like to share?.

Lets not forget the 2 expansions, The Knights of The Nine where you could lead the forces of good against evil,  and of course The Shivering Isles, where you could become the embodiment of Sheogorath himself.

Let us know in the comments below.

My favorite thing in Oblivion is NPCs AI. I noticed it has much more complicant and unpredictable behavior than in Skyrim. I remeber tons of strange and funny situations happens becuse of that Radiant AI work. It even was fun to simply watch the NPCs and wait what happens because something always will. I also remember absolutely outstanding quests not just "go and kill / bring" stuff but elaborate stories: "Paranoia", Hackdirt, DB questline, "Detective", Shivering Isles... quests is just brilliat in Oblivion. And one character I remember very well is Thadon. I could not stop laugh first time I heard this flow of concentrated absurd. General I think Shivering Isles in one of best things happens in TES games I'm in love with the lands and characters of Mania. And the last thing I like very much in Oblivion is sunsets.

Ah yes the wonderful Thadon, what we in Scotland would call "A Happy Dafty" he was just wonderful wasnt he, right down to his crazy little Diadem he wore on his Head, the Shivering Isles truly stood out among the Oblivion Questlines. The Knights of The Nine for me was also brilliant, Umarill the Unfeathered, lol who else would come up with a handle like that, brilliant,

    Man, Oblivon! :D

I don't know where to begin, no poetic writing from me today, i reckon I will simply just gush. The first time I played it was an absolute wreck. I could not have tusked it up further if I had tried. Baurus (in his wisdom) suggested I was an experienced Agent and as I had no frame of referrence I felt it bst to agree with him. That was my first mistake. Mistake two was then using every penny I had accumulated in the sewers to get an Imperial Guard to like me. Don't ask why, I think I was following the Speechcrafr tutorial and thought the game was telling me I should.

After many, many hours of play the character contracted Vampirism and had to seek shelter in a cave from the merciless rays of Magnus. Unfortunately that cave was inhabitted by trolls and as my two strongest skills were Speeschcraft and Mercantile I didn't stand a chance.

I loved every minute of it.

Lol bad luck Phil, yes Baurus could be very misleading, the bugger told me I was an experienced Archer, NOPE, One of my most endearing memories was after the Light the Dragonfires Quest, to find Baurus and Jaufree still alive was really special, I dont even know why, when I spoke to them, Baurus had something very profound to say about Martin and the Emperor, how he was right about me, Jaufree was a bit indifferent to the whole situation really, it was funny listening to the Blades up at Cloud Ruler Temple afterwards though, how they felt a bit obselete, great days from a great game

Most satisfying thing for me in Oblivion was gaining access to the Arcane University. Man, so much work that needed to be done. I especially hate that henantier dream mission.

I loved Oblivion, and still play it every now and then. As Mercurial Degree mentioned, the questlines were fantastic. Compare the Thieves Guild storyline with Skyrim's. In Skyrim, you eventually join a cult of thieves that run the show, and get blessed by a Daedra. Which was cool. In Oblivion, you broke into the Imperial Palace, swiped an Elder Scroll, and jumped out the window with magic boots. Which was epic. And don't get me started on the Dark Brotherhood. From a story standpoint, I feel Oblivion is better, even if I prefer the gameplay of Skyrim.

Well, it's still really early in development, but the Skywind team is working on such a game.
