The Dragonbone Mail is a powerful artifact brought into existence by the first Imperial Battlemage, Zurin Arctus during the beginning of the Third Era. Thought to be created to pay a debt to a wandering adventurer, the mail is told to grant its user immunity to fire, and the ability to punish their foes with a blast of fire. Unfortunately, like the traveling warrior the Mail was created for, the Dragonbone Mail does not stick to one spot long.
During the Nerevarine Prophecy in Morrowind, the Nerevarine is said to have found the mail in an forgotten ruin. The Nerevarine sold the mail to the Mournhold Museum of Artifacts in 3E 427.

To recreate the Dragonbone Mail in Skyrim, the best armor to use is the Dragonplate Cuirass, due to also being made of Dragonbone. To replicate the enchantment, you will need to simply enchant it with fire resistance. However to achieve the immunity to fire, you will need to use more enchantments than just the cuirass itself. Do not worry about the fire blast enchantment the tales tell of, in Morrowind, the Mail did not have any enchantment that did any damage to opponents. However, if you want to replicate this, you could just use a scroll of fire bolt, fire ball, fire storm, or flame cloak.

Nice choice Eden! I actually recreated this item myself in my Zurin Arctus Event Build and it was worth getting 100 in Smithing. Smithed to Legendary, the Dragonbone Armor offers nearly 200 AR!

Thank you kindly, good sir
It was a very fun build to play! Did you like how I used infinite Fire Breath to recreate that lost "Fire Blast" effect? I still can't believe the mail didn't have some kind of fire spell on it in Morrowind! It would have been so easy to tack on.
