  I just saw J'zhargo do a rolly polly. It was awesome.  I had no idea.  We were sneaking through a dwarven ruin and I turned around to see if he was still behind me and boom, he does it.  Makes me wonder what other secrets wait to be discovered.

  You can do that either if you unlock the perk silent roll, in sneak skill tree.

  Does J,zhargo have perks?  Can I tell what level a follower is somehow?

  It's happened to me a few times before, I think the first was when I snuck up on a DB assassin in a random encounter. For some reason he didn't get up from sneaking and every time I got about 10m away from him he'd roll up and hit me!

  I think the AI is just like "I will attempt to sprint" but they're sneaking and silent roll instead of sprint.

  If you're on PC target him with the console and type 'getlevel'. Otherwise he'll be the level he first followed you at I believe.

  The game assigns perks to NPCs based on their NPC class (which also determines their combat style)
