I LOVE 'NO SURPRISES' AS WELL! On a road trip in Australia, my mum put OK Computer on while I was trying to take a nap, and No Surprises came on at the perfect moment where I was just about to slip into sleep. It made me have some really trippy dreams.
Anyway, I cry listening t almost all of the songs I listen to. The most recent one might have been 'Rite of Passage' by Ryan Amon... I'm not sure why, but it just tickled something sensitive in me.
I missed this Gollum, sorry. Totally agree. I think many see it that way but I don't. How is a deep appreciation of art or culture of any kind 'feminine'? If only women have that I'm going to take it from them!
EDIT: I actually feel sorry for anyone who can't or won't be moved deeply by music or art. No offence Ben, obv.! I'm glad it does, for me :)
I also know plenty of men (Hellol!) who'll cry when their team loses a big game, but call it 'girly' when a guy cries over something profound or moving. I think it's less to do with gender and more to do with culture
