Tools of the Trade
a collaboration between PCTY and Lyall
Steam flows off chilling steel,
Bars formed into weapons, chaos into order.
Shaped of the earth, formed of the dirt.
Solid, like boulders unmovable.
Made pure by the hand of the potentate smith,
His tools an extension of himself.
His hammer which thins
From his steel the excess,
Shaving, cutting, shaping,
Pounding,
Shattering,
Testing,
Making
Anew.
His tongs, guiding along the craft,
Gripping tight his creations that have fallen to flame,
Cooling the hot rage in tranquil waters.
A sword, its edge sharp for slaying of adversaries.
Its grip tight, a vessel of the smith’s will.
Its pommel ornate, like the mind of the potentate.
Its steel hard, reflecting a face of determination,
And a mind of iron will.
A shield, solid against the strikes of foes,
Bearing the coat of arms, forged in fire,
The tools of the blacksmith o’er anvil crossed,
The simplest of devices, vessels for grand design.
Armor, blanket of metal,
Cuirass, shield the beating heart,
Gauntlets, the arms for swinging,
Greaves, the kneeling legs of the ardent worshipper,
Helm, the head of logic, the everlasting eye of the storm,
A curtain of metal sweeping away vengeance.
All the works of Zenithar,
May your craft be ever stronger,
May your craft be ever blessed.
May you find peace in work, prosperity,
And the might of Zenithar.

Great work you two.
Hope you'll make more. (But not too many..)
