Creation and history of the Havkins

  • Here we are, the creation and history of the War Bringers, better known as Havkins, are about to unfold before you. You might have known about Marbel, their creator, and Daedric Lord. Because Havkins are a newly made race of Daedra their history is a short one. Fear not, for we have many stories to tell.

    The Creation

The Havkins' were created from Periyite's Afflicted, Marbel won over them when she was a mortal and used her magic to cure them. This changed them into tall, red skinned Daedra with curled black horn's like a goats. These were the second to first Havkins. The first ever Havkin was Marbel's partner in crime, Varnan the Miamer. When Marbel created her realm, she decided to make even more Havkins by using only her magic. This exhausted her greatly because she couldn't control her magic yet, so she went dormant for one whole year before the kidnappings happened.

    The Fourth Era

The Daedra's sudden appearance shocked many Illusion mages, saying that they've seen a tall, red humanoid creature in a certain place, be it an unexplored cave or an inn. The reason that only Illusion mages could see them is because Havkins use a kind of Illusion magic to conceal themselves from mortal eyes, but an Adept in Illusion can easily spot them, then again, Illusion magic isn't practiced much. Many people laugh it off as if it is some sort of joke, some people think that the magic got the the mages' head, but that thought was more common in Skyrim.

The Daedra are usually found within the ranks of both factions in the Skyrim Civil War. Many are disguised as Nords when in the army, and some are disguised as Bretons, meeting and kidnapping people to fight the never-ending war in Marbel's plane. They don't just randomly kidnap people, they kidnap the ones that are what they call worthy,it's usually renowned sellswords, commanders of an army, to the less glorious ones like murderers, mentally unstable people who only desire to kill, and some more. The Havkins cover the kidnappings up by using their specially enchanted weapon on their targets, making it look like the bodies vaporize into nothingness, but they are transported to one of the many mortal residential areas that are located in the plane.

The Provoking of The Black Knight

By capturing some members of the Fighter's Guild in the Alik'r Desert. The Havkins have invoked the wrath of Ebonarm, the God of War. Marbel herself finds this amusing and that her war just got more interesting. Currently, many mortal's in her plane are if you don't know already, Redguards, Ebonarm has somehow breached into Marbel's plane of Oblivion, but Marbel states that she let that happen. Whether the statement is true or not has not been revealed.

The closest that the Warriors of Ebonarm ever got to Marbel's main city was to the southwest. Many Havkins have been purged, and whatever the warrior's used made sure they didn't come back for a long time. There's a battle going on outside my tent as we speak, then again why am I sitting here? I'll be right back.

    The Discovery of Havkin Blooded

A Havkin mage which has traveled Tamriel was forced to unleash all of his magical energies onto a strong group of paladins who were found camping in a cave in High Rock. He attempted to use magic even when his magicka is depleted, due to the strain he put onto himself not only were the paladins destroyed, the mage was too. The soul gems he was carrying fused together to form a huge crystal that emitted the magic that turned the original Havkins into what they are now. Once touched, the crystal can turn a mortal into a half-Havkin, or as the Havkins call us, Havkin Blooded. We are called that because we still retain the features of our old race, except for the reddish skin tone and pitch black eyes. The crystal works on beast races too, turning their scales or fur red.

Currently more and more Havkin Blooded are turning up all over Tamriel, and they have no connection to the crystal whatsoever. Maybe that the crystal has somehow grown and spread to other areas or that Marbel was careless enough to have a speck of her magic affect a single area of a province. Havkin Blooded are unable to turn other mortals into Havkins, mortals can only be changed when in direct contact with the crystal stated above or when they come into contact into a speck of Marbel's magic. Many Havkin Blooded bend their knees to Marbel, but there are always some rebels, they try to help the mortals get home, but this just makes things interesting, so says Marbel.

Here I stop, next time I'll cover their culture and after that give you a mental image of how the Gurre Plains look like. Maybe after that I'll get some tea, but first...I'll have to deal with this follower of Ebonarm, until we meet again.

    -Wellin, the Havkin Blooded.

Writer's Note: That's history and creation covered, it also explains my username. I'll post Wellin's story when I get the chance, comment and don't hold back, but Trolls will be Fireballed, you have been warned...

Edit: I've changed glowing yellow to pitch black because, they won't let me freaking use glowing yellow eyes for normal people in the Creation Kit.
