Marbel, Lord of War, Pain, Fury and Bardism

  • As you all know, the civil war in Skyrim has gotten...worse. Many people wonder why, well...I have the answer right here! A new Lord has risen, all hail Marbel! The once mortal Daedric Lord of War, Pain, Fury and Bardism! I'm sure all of you are wondering...how did she came to be? Well...it's quite simple actually, Marbel somehow gained the favor of three Daedric Lords, Mehrunes Dagon, Molag Bal and Boethiah.

How you ask, that's because she represented an aspect from all of them, chaos, domination and deceit  Both the Imperials and Stormcloaks fought her, but she, accompanied with a fellow Breton, slaughtered them all. One of her feats was demolishing a battle over the Pale, dressing herself as one of the Imperials she first slaughtered the Stormcloaks and then turned on the Imperials, claiming herself to be a Stormcloak spy, only one survived to tell the tale.

She did the same to the Stormcloaks during a battle over Eastmarch. This fueled the war, not only between the two factions but also inside the factions. She placed soles in her boots making her look tall, like a Nord. There was soon distrust inside the two factions and again, Marbel disguised, rallied the faction's armies to fuel their hatred towards the opposing faction. And who did she actually fight for? She fought for herself, she liked battle, she relished it, in fact, she wanted that war to not stop, then again, she was quite unstable.

When she finally died, her soul was set in front of the three Lords, and after a huge fight, they decided to make her one of them. A Daedric Lord. A meeting was held, and there was a tie, some Daedric Lords like, Periyite, Malacath, Hircine, and some others disagreed. Another fight broke out, this time it was a fight in the darkness, worshipper versus worshipper, seeing the fighting as pointless agreed to a truce, that Marbel, was the cause of their fighting, the cause of war between them.

They named her the Daedric Prince of War, for the wars she caused, Pain, for the suffering she inflicted on their followers, Fury, for the rage that she uses to create the wars, and Bardism, because she was an excellent singer despite her nature. Her transformation changed her skin color, turning it red, matching the flames of Oblivion, gave her a pair of black goat like horns and most importantly, to her at least, increased her height.

She created her own realm, called it the Gurre Plains, and made it a vast plain like area which is used for a war zone. A huge never ending war was fought there, the war was between mortals and her Daedra, the Havkins.

The Havkins are a dangerous bunch, disguised as mortals, usually Bretons, they cause fights, skirmishes and most importantly fuel the civil war in Skyrim. They are created from Peryite's Afflicted, Marbel used her powers to cure them of the plague, but it mutated them, changed them into the tall, horned, red skinned Daedra they now are.

The first ever Havkin was her companion who helped her when she was a mortal, he didn't have an actual name, for he was mute, so she called him, Varnan the Maimer. He now acts as her private guard and some times...her mate. He was a Breton, a Forsworn, born and raised in the Reach. He loathes Nords because of what they did to the Bretons of the Reach, but he left the Forsworn when they decided to include Hagravens into their ranks, and with insult to injury, by making them matriarchs. Varnan wrote down these exact words "I hope those shamers will be wiped out by the war...Not a single one left...none! This is the punishment for staining their honor and my honor by going so low to work with those foul inhuman hags!"

Why he hates the hagravens so much? He never revealed it to me. Moving one with our current topic, right now Marbel isn't very popular with some of the Daedric Lords and most importantly, Reymon Ebonarm, the God of War. His title is similar to Marbel's more well known title 'The Woman of War', but it isn't because of that he hates her, it is because many of the people she captured to fight in her endless war were members of the Fighters Guild from the Alik'r Desert. This just fueled his hatred towards her, she states that this just makes things more interesting for her.

That's all for now...next time I will cover on the Havkins and their culture and history, and maybe next time I'll cover the other creatures found in the Gurre Plains. This is Wellin, the Havkin Blooded signing off.

Writer's Note: Yes...I've made a new Daedric Lord...why? I just had to write this out...don't worry, she ain't a Mary Sue, she has a weakness, like all Daedric Lords. What it is...shall not be revealed. So there we go! Feel free to comment and don't hold back, unless you're a troll, then I'll cast Fireball on you.

"For the final time! It's Bardism not barbarism!"

She actually doesn't have the strengths of three combined. She represented an aspect of them, not have their strengths.

Why would the Deadric Princes make a prince that had the strength of three combined, that makes no sense to me...
