Crime in Skyrim

    This post is for discussion about anything crime related. We learned that witnesses can be eliminated to avoid being reported (chickens too), and we may be able to avoid punishment if we are friendly with a hold. But that opens the question, if you are on a hold's bad side, might they arrest you on site?

    What crimes will you commit in Skyrim? Will you strictly commit no crimes, or will you be a nefarious villain whose occupation involves crime? We saw an execution in a recent video, would Bethesda dare to execute criminal characters?

    Again, the prompts above are just to get us started, feel free to discuss anything to do with crime.

    I'll steal a few things nothing really major. Gold and jewels more than anything. Might try the assassin + thief route out. It seems like a really interesting combo.

    I'll attempt to frame others for my crimes as an Argonian Shadowscale. If that fails, I'll kill everyone in town just in case they're witnesses and then run like hell.

    Little of topic maybe, but hey :P I will do just about anything I think. I will steal everything that isn't nailed down and have no problem assassinating someone :)

    I really hope Bethesda does what nobody does and let's the player get executed if you for example get cuaght and don't have money to pay the fine, I mean it would seem stupid you can kill 30 people and just pay a lot of money or be in jail and get away wi...  more

    I don't plan on committing too many crimes, but if I happen to see a shiny dagger or sword I may not be able to restrain myself

    My first character will primarily be a thief, so theft theft theft, and murder once in a while, or if there is something I really want!  Eventually Murder might come along later (stormcloak V Legion kind of stuff)

    Thievery will be my occupation but I won't get caught(cocky). So no one will know.
