Main Quest

  • I am curious to know how much the main quest interests the fans this time around. The main quest involves us being the Dragonborn and having to stop the world-eater, Alduin and his dragon minions. I won't go into too much detailed, but I'm sure you have all learned about the main quest by now, so we won't waste any time there.

The main question I want to know here is how excited are you for the main quest? Are you planning on finishing it or are you going to completely ignore it? Does the idea of being a 'dragon born' pique your interests?
I plan on playing and finishing the main quest on my first playthrough, but most likely ignoring it on the rest of my playthroughs.

I will explore for a couple of hours first. Then, after completing some quests and getting to a decent level, I'll dive into the storyline.

im gonna do little bits of it if it shows up but my main plan is to join the DB and the Mages. gonna make a mage that hides a dark secret. also plan on helping the empire(love my legion, got many mods on oblivion letting me join them).

To be honest the main quest is only about 25 percent of the experience for me.. Maybe less. Whichever quest has the most depth is probably where I'll spend the majority of my time.. Quest wise.

I for one will likely ignore the main quest as long as possible. I took ages to do elder scrolls 4 main quest was more focused on exploring the vast world. cant say for sure if ill do the same this time tho

I want to get my smithing up to the point that I can smith dragonbone armor and weapons, then I plan on wreaking havok in Skyrim as my Nordic battlemage!

That's an interesting approach, and I respect your decision. It makes a lot of sense to explore the world and learn about the game before starting your journey through the main quest.

Very excited, and I'm going to completely ignore it - for quite a while.  I like the anticipation.  And I want to learn the world before I create the dragon-born, so I will make a character for each of the three major guilds, and probably two more charact...  more
