Fawn's Journal; Entry #4

  • I’m a monster.

I have said this countless times but it is still true.

I am lying on a stone slab in a tavern in Markarth city. The City of blood and silver they call it. I call it the city of uncomfortable beds. I forgot to mention… I have a hangover. Yes, I decided to drown my sorrows. It livened up the tavern having a youthful woman piss drunk. I don’t even remember what had happened last night and I barely care at this point in time.

I don’t normally drink (except in moderate amounts). But once arriving at Markarth I needed a heavy ale.

You see dear Journal. I had done exactly as I said I would do. I left for the reach, leaving all of this dragon slaying pilgrimage shit behind me. Like hell am I going to spend my days fighting dragons. I would much rather move to the reach and do what I do best. Hunt and live off the land.

Well that lasted very long, I will tell you that.

I had bought a horse so I could be in the Reach within a day. As the sun was about to set I stopped by a little cliff outcrop on the side of the road to set up camp. However by the time I had set it up the moon was peaking from the clouds and the beast within yearned for release.

I had no choice but to let it out. When I recovered from the Bloodlust it was morning and half a mile of the road (with my camp as a centre point) was littered with half eaten corpses of varying kinds. Bands of orcs, Thalmor, Imperial soldiers, Stormcloaks, hunters, adventurers, and well my luck couldn’t get any better but there were four mutilated corpses of Vigilantes of Stendarr. The Vigil had a hold in Skyrim! My luck couldn’t have been better.

I felt sick that I had spent a whole night massacring and eating innocent travelers. Though I have no remorse for the Vigil.

Before anyone could pass by and put two and two together I destroyed my camp. Not bothering to pack and raced off to the city of stone: Markarth. Ignoring all commotion on the road (even a dragon flying between the mountains) And here we are all up to date and I repeat:

    I. AM. A. MONSTER.

I hope you enjoyed, comments would be appreciated.
