The Chronicles of Damon Kaine: Chapter 1: "A bag of coins and the girl"

  • 3E-427

Inside the cave Addamasartus near the port village of Seyda Neen, Vvardenfell, Morrowind.

"Hurry up, Damon, I don't want to be here when those Vamps come back. Fine-Mouth can't keep them busy for long."

"You can't rush this, it's a Process that has to be adhered to, Hjrondir, or the tumblers will fall and i'll have to do it all over again. Why don't you go and do some Nord things, Like grow your beard or Paint your self with woad."

"hmph!" The Massive Nord grunted, but he stalked off down the humid tunnel, giving Damon the space he needed.

When the three had learned that a group of vampires had taken up residence in the cave near Seyda Neen, They quickly hatched a plan to Infiltrate, and rob them of the many treasures vampires were rumored to posses.

Thanks to his cheeky nature and natural ability to evade capture in the boggy marshlands of the bitter coast, the Argonian named Fine-Mouth provided the distraction needed for Damon and the Nord Hjrondir to sneak inside undetected by luring the two front guards away from the cave. The Nord was no expert in the art of stealth, but they managed to navigate the voluminous Caverns of Addamasartus. There were a few more Vampires inside, but even with the Nord's Heavy armor, the duo bypassed them and made it to the rearmost chamber which was blocked by a steel door with a key hole in the direct middle.

This is where Damon came in. The lock was intricate, but not exceeding his skill. However, it was taking longer than he had anticipated and a sheen of sweat had formed on his neck and brow. Finally with a resounding click that made him flinch, he successfully picked the lock and swung it inward. Inside was a small room with two alcoves dug in the walls on opposite sides. In the alcoves rested two coffins of great design and beauty. giving a wide grin he motioned for Hjrondir to move into the room. As the Nord ruffled through his Pack and extricated his crowbar, Damon closed the door behind them, so as to  stop as much noise echoing throughout the cavern as possible, which was otherwise dead silent.

After some amount of effort, the Nord cracked open one of the coffins. Inside was an Ancient skeleton that had crumpled to bone meal over the centuries it had rested there. The clothes the bones had been garbed in had long since Disintegrated, but among the remains were many fine jewels and Valuables. The two split the take and moved onto the next coffin. This one was much easier to open and seemed to contain more matter than the last one. Excitement welled up inside of Damon as they pried open the lid to reveal what lay beneath. His excitement was swiftly quelled and replaced with fear when he saw what they had uncovered.

The small town of Riverwood, Whiterun hold, Skyrim.

"I don't get it. Why would you have a wall here," I walked a few paces to the left. "but not here? If your going to have a wall, then why not encompass the entire village? Seems kinda redundant to have the wall if assailants can simply just walk around it." Looking around I take in the village as a whole. "not very impressive is it?"

"Welcome to Riverwood friend, Faendal thinks he can woo Camilla Valerius away from me, but she's mine I keep telling him." Said a Nord to my right.

"Really? I don't care. Tell me, is there a place I can sell some stuff in exchange for supplies? Also i'm very hungry so somebody to eat would also be nice."

         "uh, Somebody?"

         "Something. something to eat."

"Well, Lucan's got a little bit of everything at the Riverwood Trader, Lucan is Camilla's brother."

         "Again, I don't care."

"And the Sleeping Giant Inn has all sorts of food, you might check there."

"All sorts eh? I'm guessing Nord is going to be the majority of whats to eat."

"Yep, they've got lots of Nord dishes to be found, but you may find some Breton cuisine there you might like."

"Yeah not what I meant, but thanks for your help." Looking at the signs, I spotted the Riverwood Trader and entered. Inside I found two imperials arguing about something.

"Oh, a customer. Sorry you had to hear that." I walked over to the counter. "We had a bit of a break in, but there is still plenty to sell, the thieves were only after one thing."

"Thats OK, I really don't care." What was with all these people telling me their problems? "So, do you have that gold you owe me?"

"What gold? I don't owe you any gold."

"Are you sure? I'm pretty sure you owed me seven hundred septims." My eyes flashed as My Vampire powers took hold of him.

"Wait, I think... What was your name again?"

"How could you forget? It's Gerard! from the Imperial City. Surely you didn't forget about me!"

"Of course! yeah, Gerard I remember you, how ya been you old dog? Your right, let me get you that gold." As he went and rummaged around in his Chests behind him I glanced back at the other Imperial, Camilla, who looked at me with Suspicion.

"And Camilla! well you're just as stunning as ever aren't you?"

"what are you talking about, we've never met."

"How can you say that? we were practically in love! you begged me to stay!" Again my eyes flashed as her face went blank.

"Oh... Gerard, my love. I'm so glad to see you! it's been ages since we last saw each other."

"And ages since we last kissed." I said with a smile. I walked over to her and she stood up from the table she had been sitting at. After gazing into my eyes for a moment she slowly leaned toward me. Smelling her skin and hearing her heart beat made me all the more hungry but I resisted a bite as I couldn't tell how strong my spell was on them. Instead we exchanged a Passionate kiss that became increasingly more Erotic as the seconds passed. My hands slid from her neck and cheek downward, slowly caressing her curves and shaping my hand around her firm Buttocks as she slid her hands into my shirt and explored my bare chest. After a few moments of this I felt a tap at my shoulder. I broke contact with the girl to see Lucan carrying a bulging sack of coins. As I looked into his eyes I noticed they were darting to and fro and becoming unfocused showing that my hold on him was reaching its limits. Disentangling myself from Camilla I grabbed the bag from Lucan and tied it to my belt.

"Many thanks my friend, your debt to me is paid," I turned to Camilla, "Never forget me, my flower."

"You're leaving? Why? When will you be back?"

"I must go, it is true," I leaned in so Lucan couldn't hear, "but i'll be staying at the Inn tonight, meet me there for a proper goodbye." I gently kissed her cheek. With a wave of my hand, I opened the door and exited, leaving the bewildered pair to stare after me. "I had forgotten how weak-minded the Nords are, poor sods." I chuckled to myself.

From there I walked over to the Inn just north of the Riverwood Trader, Staring bitterly at the sun. Thanks to my many years of dealing with it, I've learned to manage, but it still sucks to be in it. (again, Pardon my pun).

After Paying for a room and several hours of drinking at the Inn I had spent fifty pieces of Lucan's gold so I stopped there, didn't want to spend it all on shoddy Alcohol. "I hate Mead anyway, never understood the Nord fascination with it."

Just before midnight Camilla walked in and smiled brightly at me. I took her hand and led her to my room, Noticing that The Nord who gave me directions and also happened to be the town Bard gave me a VERY impressive Stink-Eye. I closed the Door behind us and proceeded to undress the girl. I must say, That Bard has good taste; this girl was truly blessed by the Nine. We made love vigorously well into the wee hours of the morning, hardly able to stay on top of the small bed I was given. After we were both Exhausted I waited until she fell asleep. Once she had, I very carefully sank my fangs into her soft neck, careful to only make pinpricks for holes so as not to arouse suspicion, and drank my fill. She may be a little weak for a few days but i'm sure no one would suspect anything nefarious. When my belly was warm with Imperial, I settled down close to her slender form and slept the sleep of the Undead.
