Animal Companions

    Alrighty. So, I remember reading somewhere that you can get a dog as a companion in Skyrim, but I want to know if you guys think we'll be able to befriend other animals. Personally, I'd like to get a cat companion. It wouldn't actually accompany me anywhere, but would just laze around in my character's house.

    What animals would you like to see as companions for Skyrim? And if you can't get them, will you resort to more . . .unconventional methods? I, for one, will make a Breton necromancer, whose first act shall be to slay and then reanimate a bear or two.

    I know it ain't sims but I think it's a little lame just having a dog as a companion in a game like skyrim. I at least think wood elves should have a wider array of companions to pick from. What good is a mute when your fighting a dragon or a mammoth? I m...  more

    I want a fat ass horker lol! That way if I'm in a bind hopefully he'll look more appetizing so I can give whatever is chasing me the slip. Ima name him pork n beans lol!

    Matt, this isn't sims, there will likely only be one animal companion, the dog. Think, dogmeat, from fallout.

    I don't know what kinda compainon I would want but the Necromancer comment made me wonder about the Necromancy in Skyrim....Does anyone know anything about that?

    Oh, I would love to see any type of animal as a companion... a bear, a wolf, I even would love a dragon always with me. But a dog or a horse to be always there is awesome too. I would like to name the horse as well (but I think we can't do that). Just hop...  more

    It would be nice to have a dog wandering about your home just to make it seem more lively, especially if it is a mansion.

    But I think it would be great if you could get different companions other than a dog but well we won't know till later lol!
