Mod Help and CTDs

  • These are the mods I currently have installed:

I'm getting CTDs after I start up Skyrim.

I only have Dawnguard instilled, not Hearthfire or Dragonborn.

I reinstalled Skyrim today, so I have no saves yet.

    Can anyone help?

Yes, be very careful about which version of Skyre you have.
The nice this about BOSS is it tells you when you have a mod conflict, which is helpful for the beginning mod user. :)

Try the Skyre Reproccer and make sure that you're using Skyre only for the DLC you have and not all of them, more than likely, that used to happen to me.

If you get CTD right after starting up Skyrim it's usually a problem with master files.

It seems Frostfall and Hypothermia are the culprits. If I recall correctly, they are incompatible. Also, as Kyrielle suggests, use BOSS and Wrye Bash. They'll make your life easier. I use 175+ mods and only get CTDs when I spawn around 500 cheese wheels a...  more

Do your mods need any master files you don't have like Dragonborn? If they do deactivate them. You should also check if there are any conflicting mods.

    Hmm.

    Download BOSS.
Run BOSS and let it resort your load order.
    Download Wrye Bash.
Build a "Bashed Patch" to make sure all leveled lists play nicely.

Then see if you're having CTD problems.
