If I Had a Heart - Prologue

  • "We're losing our foothold in the Pale" said Galmar with a slightly raised voice, "the Imperials have more men and better steel than we have."

"That's why we need to find their hidden camps and strike them where they least suspect it" replied Ulfric calmly.

Galmar raised his voice further, he disliked the hit and run tactics they had been using, he wanted glory for the Stormcloaks in open battle, "and what would you have us do in the mean time while our scouts play hide and seek? We haven't found a trace of any Imperial camps."

"Easy there friend," Ulfric said as he laid a hand on Galmars shoulder to calm him, "there are people out there with this information. All we need is to entice them."

"Damnit Ulfric!" Galmar said angrily as he smashed his fist into the table with the battle plans, "the last time we tried that the bitch returned our messenger dead in Imperial armor. She's obviously siding with those dogs."

Still calm, Ulfric replied, "yes, I know. We simply have to find someone better suited for the task, someone who's more like her."

"And where would we find someone like that? You'd have to venture into Snake Mount to find someone like her."

"We will find a way, Talos will guide us," Ulfric replied with a firm look at the map, at Helgen.

Tantalizing prologue Nik, I'm looking forward to what you have in store for us. I think you captured the speech mannerisms of Ulfric and Galmar nicely.
