Another month....

  We've now been here on the Ning Network for two months. This morning I paid the next monthly subscription, and so the site is here for another month at the very least.....

  However, I'm aware, from the stats that I can see 'behind the scenes', that site activity is falling away steadily as time goes on. Obviously we expected things to go quiet when Skyrim was released, but there were hopes that things would start to pick up once the initial surge of enthusiasm had abated somewhat. That hasn't happened, and there's really no evidence at the moment that things are likely to become much busier than they are right now.

  Currently we are getting a few blogs added each day, but only a very small number of people - about three or four - are adding blogs. There's the odd video upload and a few questions in the Q&A module, but most of the Groups have lapsed into inactivity. The one part of the site that gets steady activity is the Forum - which is ironic, since that was the very thing that most people didn't really want as part of the site back when we were pondering moving from the old blog!

  Anyway, that's all water under the bridge now, and the question is whether things are going to pick up enough to justify the expense and work involved in this site. So, we're going to have to consider this next month as a bit of a test to see whether there is enough interest to carry on - especially as the domain name would need renewing at the end of January.

  Clearly a lot of people are going to be away or tied up over Christmas - that's only to be expected - but I'm going to be looking for an upturn in January! Meanwhile, I've got a plan in place to change things up a bit over Christmas (details later this week) and some ideas to try and boost activity in January.

  So, lets see how things go....
