What's do you miss most in Skyrim?

  • This weeks poll is asking the question 'what do you miss most in Skyrim?'

    This was a poll we ran some months ago, on the old site - but of course that was before we actually played the game. The general consensus then was that the new features and gameplay elements more than compensated for the things that weren't going to be present in the game.

    But do you still feel that way now you have played the game?

    I've given you a bundle of options for the poll, stuff that was either in previous Elder Scrolls or Fallout games and isn't in Skyrim? You can also vote for 'something else' but you really need to use this thread to explain what you mean - or you can obviously take the 'nothing is missing that bothers me' option!

    So, take the poll, and discuss it here on this thread.

    I miss the guild ranks...but only have played through the College questline.  I felt completely unworthy of becoming Arch-Mage because I did not have the sense of accomplishment that I did when becoming Arch-Mage in Oblivion.  I feel more like an errand-g...  more

    @Kamakaz1
    Perks dont stop at 50 ???
    Level 50 is the soft cap, you should ensure your character is well developed by then and you have invested your perks in the right places. After level 50 your skills level a little slower but you still get p...  more

    What I miss most is a hardcore mode, like the one Bethesda made possible in Fallout New Vegas, with hunger, thirst and sleep deprivation. I think it would be quite easy to develop a hardcore mode for Skyrim. They have all those cooking and drinking tools ...  more

    I loved the Arena in Oblivion, I had hopes that they would bring it back in Skyrim.  But since they didnt, im almost certain it will be part of DLC.  :)

    I find this poll really interesting, as the two most popular answers, Arena and spellmaking are the two things I really don't miss at all. The arena for me was unbelievably dull in Oblivion and one dimensional at that and spellmaking was so overpowered.more

    I voted for hand-to-hand, but you know, I really wish that we had to do some maintenance to our blades.  I mean, here we have access to sharpening wheels and workbenches.  I wish that our blades got just a little bit dull if we didn't pay attention to the...  more

    An arena. When Pete Hines announced the fact that there wouldn't be any form of sporting combat, I was surprised. Wouldn't a race of warriors such as the nords be more than willing to fight for glory? Atleast make tavern brawls that could be replayed for ...  more

    Personally i would have liked to have seen everything in the poll, with the exception of character classes, make it into the game.
