New poll : What difficulty level do you play on?

  • This weeks midweek poll is based on a suggestion from Brandon Longe, and is a poll about difficulty levels. Thanks Brandon!

What difficulty level are you playing on? And, perhaps more importantly, why?

Have you tried different levels and noticed any significant differences? Or are you one of those people who keep altering the difficulty level to suit different enemies?

I play on Novice! With a job and a baby boy I don't have mush time to play, so I want to concentrate on things I like: wandering new places, collecting ore for weapons and armour, exploring landscape... Dying I do not like. It wastes valuable seconds in t...  more

I mainly play on Adept, but recently (starting around level 25) I have had to lower it to Apprentice whenever I run into a frost dragon. Suddenly they became impossible to kill! It sucks! I guess when I leveled the dragons did as well however I haven't ye...  more

Master, the majority of the time, the one time I couldn't manage to kill something on Master was after me forgetting to pick my items up (after a quest where you have to leave them with somebody) and an Ancient Dragon came up behind me. I had an ebony dag...  more

For the most part I play on expert, but will sometimes bump it up the master if things seem too easy. Although, I must admit it is satisfying to decapitate a bandit on first strike :)

I was surprised by how well the game strikes a balance between challenge and success on Adept difficulty.  I usually find myself having to tweak similar settings on other RPG's to maintain my sense of fun and challenge, but Adept has been pretty good.  I'...  more

I play on Adept because on Expert you los too much health and on Apprentice you deal out to much damage.
