OK here goes with yet another Character Build Showcase, and this week Mason has selected a truly awesome build in the shape of The Fearmonger by Henson.
Henson created one of my personal favourites due to it's distinct playstyle, The Fearmonger combines two of the games most powerful effects to an extreme, Fear and Necromancy! Battle is won through cruel patience as the Fearmongers enemies scatter in terror pursued by hordes of the moaning undead...
The Fearmonger himself is a vampiric creature, gaining a massive boost to all illusion spells thanks to the 25% champion of the night bonus. Dawnguards additional Soul Cairn offerings thicken his ranks with undead that can be called on in a heartbeat, not to mention his alternative vampire lord form should he need it.
Aspect of Terror increases all the Fearmongers fire damage by 10 points allowing him to casually roast his foes while they battle against his tide of fear. The characters power culminates with the combination of the Ritual Stone and Aetherial Crown, allowing the Fearmonger to raise an eternal army of dark followers.
Everyone should try this character at least once!"
Thanks to TZ for his usual awesome video work
And here's a bit of blurb from Henson himself
The Fearmonger is a master illusionist and necromancer that allows for constantly fleeing enemies with undead minions in hot pursuit, a la "giving chase". The Fearmonger, especially in the lower levels, also makes heavy use of Restoration to heal himself as well as using "fear" (repel/turn) spells on undead foes. With the addition of Dawnguard, both Conjuration and Restoration get some additional spells that work nicely together. Necromantic Healing is a helpful tool in the field in case your undead minions are having a tough time fighting harder opponents. Conjure Boneman, Mistman, and Wrathman are invaluable if you do not have corpses to raise allies from. The final main component of the character build is Destruction fire magic. Using the Intense Flames perk and Aspect of Terror perk, you will be even stronger in your fire spells and enemies will flee when mortally wounded
