Dungeon: Silent Moons Camp
Set-Up:
- Melee: Steel Battleaxe of Bitter Cold
- Magic School: Conjuration
- Ranged: Ancient Nord Bow of Bitter Cold with Iron Arrows
- Armor: Iron Boots(Fine), Iron Helmet(Fine), Steel Armor(Fine), Steel Imperial Gauntlets(Fine)
- Companion: Faendal with Iron Set minus chest, Imperial Light Armor, Ancient Nord Greatsword, Hunting Bow with Iron Arrows
First Thoughts:
- Bounty quest from the innkeeper(Whiterun) and I'm worried that this might turn out like Redoran's Retreat, but I need to go into this with an optomistic attitude.
- I know Silent Moons Camp spawns Lunar Weapons, but I haven't used them much due to there being better enchantments.
- The "dungeon" is seperated into two sections the first being the area outside of the entrance, and the second being a small, "zoned" cave system.
- Due to the fact that part of this area is outside, it's safe to assume that they will not be included in the trend; assuming this "dungeon" will trend.
Note1: The battleaxe I'm using has +12 frost damage.
Note2: The bow also has a +12 frost damage enchantment.
Note3: Lunar Weapons can be disenchanted to learn the Silent Moons Enchant, which deals extra damage to enemies while the moon is out.
Note4: I believe the Lunar Weapons scale and will respawn, but I'm not sure.
Note5: There is not a "real" boss in this area.
Note6: The lever only opens the locked door
Play-By-Play:
- Epic, bow shootout between the bandits, Faendal, and myself. No crosshairs and limited arrows definitely makes this more fun.
- Had an arrow bounce off my bow, lucky because it might have killed me on this difficulty. Dead=Dead is really making me rethink everything. Instead of running straight up the steps I snuck all the way around to the back and sprung an ambush.
- As I continued up the steps I came upon the Lunar Forge containing a skillbook, Lunar Weapon, a book describing the forge, and a chest.
- Time to go inside...
- Now that I'm inside there's an empty room with several beds and an exit in the far right corner.
- Well, the boss wasn't a boss at all, just another bandit.
- Going down the stairs I found an Iron Door(Adept), had a few salt pile barrels in front of it as well as a bandit.
- There aren't any enemies in here, but some high-value potions, a Lunar weapon, and a chest.
- The lever... it opens the door
- Going up the ladder leads to the cobblestone structure with a locked gate and a chest inside.
- The pull-chain will allow you to exit this room.
Chests/Bosses:
Chest1:
- Difficulty: Unlocked
- Loot: Orcish Battleaxe, Gold(91), Lockpick(5), Circlet of Minor Alchemy
- Affected: No, I used my bow to dispatch all of the enemies outside the "Forge"
Chest2:
- Difficulty: Unlocked
- Loot: Gold(78), Iron War Axe
- Affected: No
Chest3:
- Difficulty: Unlocked
- Loot: Gold(59)
- Affected: No
Chest4:
- Difficulty: Unlocked
- Loot: Gold(64), Lockpick, Potion of Minor Stamina, Scroll of Blizzard
- Affected: No
Boss Battle:
- Boss: Bandit
- Weapon: Greatsword Playstyle: Steel Battleaxe of Bitter Cold with Conjured Familiar
- Loot: Steel Greatsword, Fur Armor, Fur Boots
- Affected: Maybe? I did use a two handed weapon throughout, but I doubt this "dungeon" is trended
Noteable Items:
- Book: Notes on the Lunar Forge: There is some way to forge Lunar Weapons without enchanting, but I haven't figured it out yet. Also, this book will tell you that the Lunar Weapons can transfer health, but that is false, the actual enchantment burns the target.
- Weapon: Lunar Iron Mace: Found on Workbench between skillbook and book: Enchanted with Silent Moons Enchant.
- Skillbook: Light Armor Forging: Smithing
- Salt Pile: There are two barrels in front of the locked iron door(adept) that contain 7(total) salt piles.
- Weapon: Lunar Iron Sword: Found in the left corner of the locked room on the bottom shelf.
