Building my house in Skyrim Part 1

  • Writer’s note: While xbox-players are enjoying and the rest are waiting for new dlc, I’m still dwelling on previous. Meet my main character Marrazz the Khajiit - Dragonborn and Dawnguard, and the head of the Thieves guild as a hobby - building her house in Hjaalmarch.

    --------------------------------------------------------

I’ve come to a point in my life where I start to think of retirement. Or at least taking it easy for a while, away from towns’ haste. I feel like moving to countryside, to build a place of my own. If it turn out nicely, I can ask Moth to move there with me from our house in Markarth.

After Jarls of Dawnstar and Falkreath refused to sell land for me - now matter what heroic acts I did for them - I finally got a piece of land from Jarl Idgrod of Morthal. I might have had reluctant feelings towards Morthal earlier, but the place really isn’t so bad and it’s a short run from Solitude and Dawnstar. They even delivered some starting materials for me. I guess that’s how badly they desire new inhabitants.

    See, I have already started!

There were some drawbacks in the beginning: couple of draugrs wandered here from High Gate Ruins. It wasn’t a pain to get them down, but it did took half a day to drag them to swamp. And they didn’t sink, just stayed there floating.  Nice beach!
I prioritised the exterior structures: stable, place for cattle and garden. But the house is getting ready too.
Though it looks a bit plain.
    Slightly better.

Tomorrow I'll go to say hello to Jorgen at the lumber mill . I need wood to make a bed. Now the cozy stone floor is calling.
