The Butcher: Part Two

  • The place is still littered with blood;
the snow was even barely noticeable.
    The Guard was still at his usual duties;
lingering at the crime scene to
    prevent intrusions.

“Finally talked to Jorlief i presume?”
    asked the guard

    “Yes, where should we start?”
    noddingly inquired Zachriel.

    He pointed to the ground
    “I noticed that there's a trail of
    blood leading somewhere but
for now you should talk to Helgrid,
    she usually maintains the dead.
If she knows something, its probably
    about the dead.”
The Guard glares at him and jokingly
    said
“She’s good at it. A little crazy,
    But she’s alright.”

Zachriel and Uriel went on with their
investigation at the Hall of the Dead
in Windhelm. It was just across the
    the pavement.

The Door was covered with rust and snow.
It creeked as it was opened; The hall
has an eerie vibe and a distinct incense
    scent.
    “This place looks ancient.”
    uttered Uriel

    Zachriel cleared the
cobwebs and gave her a wry grin
“Just like any Hall of the Dead in
    Skyrim”

Zachriel approached a woman in robes
    who was tending a body.
    “I presume you are Helgrid.”
    said Zachriel

Helgrid leered to him and went back on
    tending to the body
“Yes, and who might you be?”

    “I’m Zachriel...”
A jet-black haired Breton, orphan of war,
    learned smith and spell-sword.
Ruthless, but he knows how to get
    the job done.

    "and this is Uriel."
    Redheaded Ranger, also a Breton.
    Enthusiastic most of the times,
and has a really bad temper.

“We are looking into these murders
the body might give us a clue.”
    explained Zachriel.

“Well, the body has nothing to it.
well other than a large diagonal
    cut from left shoulder.”
    said Helgrid.

“Perhaps the killer was trying to
    remover her left arm.”
    hypothesized Uriel
“And didn't have the time to do it! Thus
    the unfinished huge cut.”
    continued Zachriel.

    “It’s unlikely, but a possibility.
and one more thing. The tool used
to do this horrendous thing is an embalming
tool. Used by the Nords for the dead.”
    said Helgrid.

“And the only one who has those tools
are the ones who work with the dead.
    Namely you.”
    accused Zachriel.
    “Also the body was awfully
near the Hall of the Dead.
    How coincidental Helgrid.”

Zachriel gripped his sword as he is ready to
attack. Helgrid stood still and didn't gave flinch

“The sole purpose of me telling you this
is to clear my name out of these murders.
If i did all these murders why would i tell
    you in the first place.”
    explained Helgrid.
    “The guard can vouch
    for me.”

    Zachriels suspicions still wasn't cleared
but she did has a point. He glanced into the
body of Susanna; you can see
a angry look in his eyes.
    He releases his grip. Turning
his back and raised his hood on.
    "Thanks for the information"
