  My character collects books on Daedra, and skill books. I started out with the idea of him simply worshipping Hermaeus Mora, but now I'm considering the possibility of him viewing Mora as his father. Thoughts?

  Oh that could be pretty cool. Maybe after some years of religious devotion he allowed his deity to fill a role his father left vacant? I'm thinking along the lines of Cicero and the Night Mother.
