Building Interest

I wish I could still play that but my new laptop runs it on about 12 fps

Yeah that's definitely a great option, I'm sure MOBA's are popular around here (hell anywhere). I don't personally play any of them but I can really see that kicking off well. If you know any guides for starting off in LoL then drop it in here and I'll start together a bit of a page for it.

I second KOTOR, hmm, perhaps Persona?

I've seen a few good builds for KOTOR but I'd be copying someone if I posted them here. o:

Maybe one of these days I'll actually finish a playthrough of Gothic 3 and put up a magic user build.

If it matches the skills and feats that doesn't really matter. Just put your own little twist on it (maybe some information on Roleplay or something) and it'll all be good   With KoTOR there are a lot of choices but also only so many sets that are really viable. I mean Albino's posted build is a fairly simple concept and I'm sure 100 people have played it but that's fine. As long as you aren't copying and pasting chunks of other people's builds then post away.

I still have never gotten around to playing Gothic, I'd be interested in seeing a build because it might get me interested in the game (I think I have it on Steam from a sale but I've never touched it)

I added a backstory to my build

Gothic 3 is like a proto-Skyrim in a lot of ways!  I have fond memories of hunting down EVERY last flower out in the wilds for potion making :D

Much like Fallout 3, you get a certain number of skill points each levelup and have to choose where to put them.  Also like Fallout 3, you can get enough points to basically master everything by the end of a playthrough. Builds would probably be more based on the community patch, though, which adds more limitations.

I'll throw in a couple of games that I was thinking of.

Neverwinter Nights for those that have heard me mention it is my favorite game and I have at least a dozen builds stored away for that game. Other then that Baldur's Gate is probably a good option and I was thinking about some MMO's.

Neverwinter, World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons Online and Lord of the Rings Online all seem fairly good for building.

Oh, I could probably write up a few nifty NWN2 builds!  Storm of Zehir solo bard role-play build anyone?

I never got around to playing Storm of Zehir, at the time my computer was...well it didn't exactly run games well. I had enough problems trying to finish the main game that I never got to the expansions (never finished the game). Since then I've lost the code so I have to buy a new copy. I have to admit the Races and Classes in that game were awesome, I'd be excited to see what builds you could make out of it.
