"Say, Ysolda. This one wishes to ask: How do you know the Khajiiti caravans? How did you meet them?  Not many Nords speak to us, after all..."

Oh um, well I promised my ma and da before they passed I'd someday become the best trader in Skyrim... but I had no idea where to even begin. Then I thought that a good place to start would be to begin stocking up. Other adventurers like yourself won't take me seriously because I don't have a store so I was stuck. But one day walking around Whiterun I met Ma'dran and his caravan and he invited me to browse his wares, he told me all about Elswyr and how the caravaans do business in Skyrim. I truly admire that old cat, they're succesful merchants even without being allowed inside the cities, they don't even have a home and here I was complaining. I spoke to him about my problem and he gave me some very valuable advice! I asked if I could join them so he could teach me more but he said he'd rather have a friend inside the city, better for business. It was then that he told me about the Mammoth's Tusk. Apparently some woman in Riften who runs a bunk house offered to pay him a very large amount of gold if he could acquire one for her. I asked Ma'dran what could a bunkhouse owner want with a Mammoth's Tusk but he just laughed. Anyways he told me that if I figured out a way to get my hands on it and gave it to him I would've proven that I can make it as a mechant so he'd teach me more and give me most of the profit so I could invest it into getting started for real. I can't speak for all nords but as an aspiring merchant I can't afford to be close minded, if someone does right by me I'll do right by them. No matter who they are or where they come from.

Bunkhouse owner, eh? Huehuehue. No but really, good response there man.

Thats a helluva good response, Naeg, I like that there's mention of other people in different cities as well, makes Skyrim feel less isolated.

Can I do a response as well? I can't imagine I'd do one better than yours, and  Iwouldn't want to overwhelm the thread with a response to one question, but I'm really enjoying this!

Um... I didn't think that far ahead, I guess? Then Tenebrous would pick between the two? I was gonna ask another character a depth question in case you'd rather just come up with a story for a different character. (Actually sat down next to the character in-game)

Veezara! Before I go do my Markarth contract I was wondering if you could tell me a little about your fighting style. I heard from Nazir you recently came back from a rather hard contract. Would you mind telling me about it?

Looking to pick up some tips, hmmm? I don't use spells like you, but I see no reason why you can't learn a thing or two about swordsmanship. A Shadowscale can fight off many opponents at once, which is why Astrid was wise in choosing me for the contract. I had to make a scene, drawing the target out so I could impale her, before fleeing into the night with her guards close behind me. It may've been easier if I had a brother or sister to fight alongside with, but I suppose it worked out in the end hahaha. I've always said when a contract sounds simple it will certainly not be, but apparently these complex ones are the most simple, hmmm?

I actually had to look on his UESP page for some dialogue, I'd completely forgotten how he spoke.

    (Level 60 Spellsword) (Personal Question)

"Belrand, why do you keep summoning your weak familiar when I've given you tomes for stronger conjurations? It's a waste of magicka most of the time."

Good question Ebonslayer! I've answered my fair share for now so I'll let someone else have a crack at it, but I'll be interested to see how they handle it. I've got a few ideas but there must be loads of ways to deal with gameplay-oriented things.

(it's been almost 6 hours since this was asked, kindoff rude to keep the asker waiting even if we've anwered our share!)

A fair question Dragonborn! I suppose it wouldn't make sense to another fellow spellsword especially one such as yourself. You see, I've been doing this for a long time and that guy is more than just a novice level spell to me. He's been my faithful partner all these years and saved me hundreds of times by now. I just can't bring myself to spend any of my magicka on another creature. It just wouldn't feel right you know?  If you're that concerned about my magicka consumption give me a conjuration staff and I might consider using it.

First He has a name.  Second, it's Captain Fluffybits.  Third, I thought those books were kindling for the campfire.

I like it. I chose spellsword specifically for this because it'd provoke a better sense of understanding. However, I'd have to give the winner to...

This suits Belrand's personality perfectly, I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was his response.

Ahahaha! That's gold. If Belrand said things like that I'd hire him more often!

"Brynjof, a moment of your time. I was wondering if you could give me some advice on sneaking so I could complete my missions easier."
