Another fantastic build in the series. I'm going to be kind of sad when The Dragon comes out.

I actually enjoy a pure heads-down-and-crack-some-skulls warrior build... especially when it's well thought out and excellently executed. This is the perfect bear ;D

Seems as though Paul's been MIA for a while- right in the middle of a fantastic build series, no less. Anyone know what's going on?

I seem to recall him mentioning in one of these threads that the dragon was going to be the most difficult of the totems for him to pull off... that's the only one left as of his most recent release, The Fox. The optimist in me is saying, "Maybe he's locked himself away until The Dragon has been tested and written to his satisfaction."

Or maybe he's just waiting until the philistines decide to finally get these builds at least to Exemplar; I can't speak for Paul (I'm not smart enough xD), but it's a real burr in my britches that two months later the last few builds are still in their 30's.

This whole series should be spottlighted--it's absolutely brilliant.

This build got me into the block tree. I had never in all my 60+ build play-throughs used block perks besides shield wall or maybe deflect arrows. I Dragonborn. I smash. YOU block ME.

Oh boy is Shield Charge fun. Paul has managed to beautifully capture the unstoppable charging force that is a bear.

The Dragon is actually pretty close to being finished I think, in terms of the playthrough.  Much of the writing may be done too, but I've had some laptop issues that may mean part of it is missing.  But really the biggest delay has been the fact that I have been neglecting some other writerly game-related responsibilities for too long. 

(In case anyone is a little bit interested, here's the project I've been working on - it's a mod for the 2005 Rome: Total War strategy game (the Barbarian Invasion expansion, actually) set in Middle-earth in the Fourth Age - after the War of the Ring.  The mod is called The Fourth Age: Total War - the Dominion of Men.  Anyway, link:

I've done the lion's share of the in-game writing for the mod, and been involved on some of the development too.)

So I really needed to focus on getting some stuff done there, and that meant I needed to forcibly pull my head out of the Skyrim world for a little bit.  The Totem builds are not abandoned, though - I still plan to get the Dragon one finished! 

Mello, I don't think I'd ever played with Shield Charge, either - it always seemed too gimmicky - but it's undeniably fun!
