WiP Character Build: Wayne's World (on hold)

Rough idea of what she looks like in Special Edition (the Oldrim version of her is a lot more pointy-faced and wears bright red lipstick, because oh how I prefer the RaceMenu mod to vanilla chargen...)

Pastebin of my LE Load Order: https://pastebin.com/3Heba59P

    And for SSE: https://pastebin.com/C1shPZvx

Both include mods which allow creation of a custom class (which gives bonuses to those skills) and which also change how your character's race and gender (and those of NPCs) impact on them, sort of thing. I think Disparity makes more differences between the races (and also optionally has character weight make them do more or less physical damage, and so on) than Character Creation Overhaul, but both do an okay job. Imperious is my chosen racial abilities mod, and is compatible with both. Along with Ordinator, Vigor, and Advanced Adversary Encounters (and Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul), this is a fairly different Skyrim to vanilla, and the build is centred around this, as well as the followers (which aren't available in a vanilla game anyway.

In both these setups (because of the custom class boosting chosen skills), I have access to Vancian Magic as soon as I have two perk points to invest in Alteration. This is a fairly key part of the build - essentially it's based off classic RPGs where, rather than a potentially limitless supply of 'magic points' (given we have passive magicka regen in Skyrim), you have a number of 'spell slots' which need recharging when used up. This can only be done by sleeping in an owned bed, or one in an inn - basically a bed which gives the 'well-rested' bonus in general. I've tested this in my chosen player home (which I've discussed above) and it worked fine. Because Rozenn's main magic skills are Alteration and Conjuration, and because she has followers to help out, she should be able to manage most days with her allotted 20 spells with no problem, at least to begin with. However, because I'm using the vanilla timescale, and iNeed, she will probably find herself camping out fairly often, which will not recharge spell slots (need to check this, I bloody hope EnaiSiaion hasn't changed this to suit moany people) and thus she may find that she goes several days without a proper rest in a real bed, and runs out of spell slots, particularly as the game progresses (and certainly for situations like Blackreach, the Soul Cairn, and so on). In Oldrim, this will be mitigated, I'm hoping, by the use of Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul, which allows you to create 'bombs'. I haven't tried this out yet, but it sounds very cool. In Special Edition, I don't have that option, sadly, so she'll be sticking with any scrolls and staves she can find/buy, plus, if necessary, punching.

As far as the followers go, I'm intending to stick with just Vilja until around level 10, then meander in the general direction of Riften to find that strange blue cat in the prison cell. I'll probably swing by Helgen, triggering Alduin's flyover and Before the Storm, around level fifteen, and then rush-rush-rush off to Whiterun and Bleak Falls.

I'd *like* to use Dragon Combat Overhaul (I still have the files, thankfully) but as I'm writing this as a modded build it seems unfair to include a mod that most people don't have access to - not least because (while it makes dragons an absolute nightmare, in the best possible way) it does tend to leave you with a massive surplus of dragon souls. I don't think any of my mods actually give any bonuses for this, but it does mean one is able to unlock even the crappiest of Shouts, and even those occasionally turn out to be Just The Thing. So I'm on the look out for a good dragon mod to beef them up a bit, without giving them silly abilities like spitting poisons.

I'm including mods like AAE and Vigor because, essentially, with the rest of my mod setup, it could be fairly easy to become OP. These help to reduce that by a fair bit.

Oh, I forgot another key point - both mod lists have some form of 'death avoidance' system, as in, instead of simply dying, reloading, and trying again, there's a possibility (with one of them I think it's a certainty though I need to double check if having a follower around affects this) of 'coming to' or being resurrected somewhere else. Simplest thing is if I link the mods' respective pages, tbh: Death is Highly Overrated (Special Edition) This one is a little bit 'cheap' in some ways, to be using with a Conjuration mage (particularly one who is specifically a Summoner) as it has to do with Amulets of Stendarr, who, obviously, is not super keen on that whole thing. Still, I may find some way to work this into the roleplay, or I may just headcanon it as being a different, less anti-cuddly-pals-from-Oblivion Divine. In any case, the general idea is that because you are Dovahkiin (I have this set up to activate after meeting the Greybeards, btw), you cannot properly die, instead you find yourself back at the last shrine you visited (or I think you can pick inns instead), and have to retrace your steps (with all the risk that entails) in order to reclaim lost items.

For Oldrim, I'm using Death Alternative Your Money Or Your Life (in conjunction with its add-on for ASLAL to start as a captive of the Forsworn). This is more of a 'oh no I got hit over the head and robbed' type of scenario, though for the add-on you have to include the 'captured' add-on as well, which means if I get 'killed' by certain factions I think I then end up captured by them or something. I forget. Anyway, it's pretty fun, though having followers around means you tend to go into bleedout rather than being robbed or rescued, so that may limit its fun-ness for this build tbh. I'm not sure I'll recommend either of these options as a final modlist element, but I'll definitely include both as 'optional extras', I reckon.

Just a quick note - I'm going to be doing a Modders Log for the "Follow Me, Follow You" event (http://tamrielvault.com/groups/topic/view/group_id/3/topic_id/8856) so I'm putting this on hold for a bit (plus ill and so on.)
