The Werewolf Lord (Name subject to change)

So I was thinking, a lot of builds portray the Lycanthropes of Tamriel as bestial beings, uncivilised and unkept, icebrained warriors or hunters. Now there are a fair exceptions to this such as the shaper, I am hoping to develop  build with the flair and class of a vampire but with the power and strength of a werewolf with a similar level of synergy. If anyone would like to contribute some synergies down below it would be great assistance!

Obviously there is Alteration (the spells that increase armor), there is cloaks from destruction, restoration too (avoid death), conjuration could work too for some support. Now we need a human side that works on it's own but is still relevant to the build, One handed? Shouts may have a lot to bring too, imagine using dragon aspect, transforming and then fighting Miraak, that's a major motivator being able to do all these badass boss fights as a werewolf. Note I do not want to be using werewolf all the time as that would become boring and it needs to feel special.

This is a cool idea and the photo really helps illustrate the concept.  I would try rocking an Orc in Ulfric's clothing because they match the photo pretty well and have a lordly but beastlike vibe.  The Investor and Persuasion perks in the Speech try really synergize with a lordly/thane type character.  Investing in businesses feels like you are genuine nobility.

Alteration and Restoration synergize really well with Beast form but they also work really well in normal combat.  Flesh spells combined with the Lord Stone is a decent AR.  And the Ash Shell spells make for great crowd control when being overrun.  Weild a sword in one hand and Healing spells in the other and you will be pretty tough to take down.  I am actually working on a build right now that is doing just that and I have really been surprised how much he can tank.  Plus, at higher levels you can use Grand Healing which keeps you, your follower and dog in the battle with the same spell.

Another synergy of healing spells in the offhand is that it prety much eliminates the need to invest in stamina since the Respite perk keeps it charged. Thus, allowing more investment in health which is needed for high level beast form play.

Another good synergy that could work for the build is using the Bound Sword, Enchanting and Speech.  The bound sword has the lowest stamina cost since it is weightless and when combined with some strong Fortify One handed enchantmens is viable endgame, especially when duel wielding.  With the soul trap perk, Enchanting is easy to level up and selling enchanted items levels your Speech nicely.

In addition to Dragon Aspect, I would try Frost Breath and Dismay as well.  Both offer some great crowd control which can be a lifesaver being overrun.

Those are some ideas and I hope they help.  I'm looking forward to see what you do with the build.  Might have to give this one a try myself when you finish it.

Thank you Texas for the suggestions, they are brilliant. You have really motivated me to getting on with this build. I have some ideas for the race, Orc would be very powerful (beserk rage and werewolf is rediculous). I was potentially thinking to be an Imperial because them being in the legion would make a lot of sense. I want to be a more discreet Lycanthrope. The thinking behind this is rather funny, the vampire clans in Cyrodiil are noted to be very inconspicuous so I feel the Werewolf packs would be the same. Perhaps there was werewolves in Oblivion and we just didn't know who they were? (Obviously this isn't the case but it's cool to think of from a theoretical lore perspective)

Romulus/Remus would be a cool name for the character, heh.

If you're into using mods for your builds, I'd suggst looking into Moonlight Tales. It adds tons of new werewolf perks, werewolf abilities in human form(such as wolves not attacking you), and lunar cycles/transformations based on the moon phase. Can't wait to see where this build goes!

I have to admit, I wasn't even thinking about using beserker rage and werewolf together.  I pretty much just made that suggestion on the photo above since it looks awesome and the idea of a orc noble becoming thane of the holds while secretly being a werewolf sounds sweet.  One thing going for the Imperial is the Voice of the Emperor power.  I recently did a build which made extensive use of this and it has become my one of my all time favorite racial powers.  Very powerful and very fitting for a lordly/noble type character.  Are you thinking about making this a "good" character, a "bad" character or somewhat grey?  A character's morality is always realling interesting to me since it can dramatically alter roleplaying and the game as a whole.

Thanks for the suggestion Blooded it's a great mod, unfortunately I am on PS4, ha. I think I am going to go in a grey area for the morality, this guy does the right things, but not necessarily for the right reasons, usually being some form of self gain such as money. Orc could be an option too, I feel having to prove everyone's stereotypes wrong while also balancing the beast would be an interesting dynamic. I don't see this build utilising werewolf super frequently, but I feel it could help a lot with some encounters. Werewolf has very few drawbacks, the main being the lack of well rested bonuses.

Makes sense and a grey morality works really well with the campanions because they fit into that category.  And the well rested bonus can be somwhat counter by storing the Lover Stone in the Atherial Crown.  Really interested to see where you go with this build because it has so much potential.

Just wanted to check up and see how the build was going

Thanks for asking, yes things are complex at the minute, currently I think I am suffering from Skyrim fatigue, I am not enjoying the game as much so may need to take a break.

Sorry to hear that but I know what you mean, I've had to do that myself. Whenever you decide give the build a go feel free to hit me up and we can talk about it some. That always helps me get psyched up about a build.
