Looks like quite a bit of fun! I probably should've done something closer to this for my first playthrough.

What was your first run out of curiosity? Most of my mates ran stealthy sniper/pistol types.

It was a ranger type character, not stealthy, but a sniper with shotgun support. He uses a lot of power armor, but has (until now) had almost no tech savvy, or charisma, so he can't do much in terms of mods for weapons or armor, and has very little settlement development. After he finished the main story, though, I've redirected his motivations, so he's digging into those things a bit.

Nice build Ponty!  I have not tried automatic weapons.  Did you have any troubles with ammo as a result of using them?

A little, I was fairly conservative with my ammunition and it only started becoming a problem late in my play through. You an always temporarily switch to a weapon with a different ammo type while you rebuild ammo stockpiles for your preferred weapon via looting and shops.

My own tip... It is a very good idea to avoid sharing the same ammo types with your follower, definitely so with automatic weapons. Piper wiped out my stash of 5.56 rounds... >.<</body>

I usually loaded up followers with ammo I don't use any more or never used in the first place. Fusion cells are common and there's some powerful weapons like the alien blaster that use them. .38 converted combat rifles and hunting rifles are also a good choice.

On the jet pack: If you're on PS4 / XB1 I recommend remapping the jump button from the face buttons to the right bumper. That way you can aim and shoot midair.

The XO-1 power Armor also fits in well with the build, as it was enclave power armor, which was the remnants of the US Goverment.
