Thanks. Reading the new Necromancer guide has given me some ideas, so I'm going to edit bits and pieces once I get the time. Also given him a change of clothes, so I need new screenshots. :)

Ok, I've edited this, finally, and added lots of juicy details.

Appearance, background, backstory and motivation. I've cut things out, but I feel everything holds together better now.

Plus it gave me an excuse to make better, prettier screenshots. Always a plus.

I love the detail. The character is well thought out and it's pretty easy to get an idea of how he would act in skyrim. Good read!

    Great job!

I'm curious, what mods are you using for this character?

Thanks. I tried formatting the pictures differently, wrapping the text around them, etc, but it just didn't seem to work.

Plus some of the credit must go to the Roleplay Help Thread, the people there, and the guides you guys produce for everyone. The Necromancer guide went up after my profile, and it pretty much inspired me to iron out the bumps. So thanks all around.

Hoo boy. My list's huge. Let me see if I can pick some out that help my immersion, even if it's for clothes, etc:

Dual Sheath Redux - not too necessary for mages, but I like the fact it applies to NPCs, since my character sees those.

Splash of Rain - I use an ENB, so Real Shelter [which I love] doesn't work too well, so this is the next best thing for immersion with rain, imo. I use Supreme Storms too, but I find splash of rain better for less DPS. It's brilliant for light rain.

No More Glowing Edges - The lines around my character for cloaks, etc, break immersion. This is also one of my favourites for taking screenshots.

Height Adjusted Races with True Giants - It's so immersive being smaller than the Nords, and titchy compared to giants and mammoths. It adds a whole new level of pressure for me, with the latter.

Lind's Robes - these are in most of my screenshots. I love the retextures in most cases, and use the Necromancer/Black/Court Wizard/Red/Monk Robe retextures personally. But I try to keep other robes closer to vanilla just for some variety, plus it's nice to imagine there's some robes made out of commonly available material.

Mage Backpack [with the Winterhold retexture, and a Restoration journal] - fits his character so much better than a backpack or sabrecat backpack, and I find the ability to change the flag/journal is another way of showing things related to my character. For flavour, etc.

For places and people, I'm using a mix of Expanded Towns and Cities, the Populated Series, and the JK mods [Whiterun etc] for cities to help the world feel more alive.

Apocalypse Magic - for a greater choice of spells and different gameplay, especially for the Restoration school. I avoid some that feel OTT or unrelated to my character's specialisms.

Requiem - I enjoy this overhaul specifically because, for me, it facilitates roleplay. The way spells are presented, perks worded, etc. I enjoy the way it uses Necromancy compared to Skyre, etc.

I'm using Frostfall and iNeed for survival. Tried Hypothermia [less scripts] but didn't like it as much for roleplay and gameplay.

Also using a combination of Alternate Start - Live Another Life/You Are Not The Dragonborn/Immediate Dragons. Simply because he's not the Dragonborn, and having to go through Helgen is the biggest deal-breaker for me. Starting somewhere that fits my character is perhaps the biggest thing I can think of. [I was using Winterhold, but I think I might start in Riverwood and roleplay through his journey to the College there].

Some small ones I'm enjoying are iActivate, People are Strangers, Take Notes and Warburg's paper map. It feels really nice for roleplay to not see [X] Red Mountain Flower for instance, and to not know the names of people I haven't met. Warburg's paper map, without a player marker, is more immersive than a colour overhead display, for me.

    Player home is Vetrheim.

EDIT: Forgot to add I'm using Immersive College of Winterhold and Opulent Outfits, the latter just replacing apprentice/adept/etc robes.

Brilliant, thank you!  I'll have to check some of those out.

One mod I forgot is Wet and Cold - Holidays. I love that it adds little holiday stuff around the locations, depending on the in-game calendar. Plus it lets you choose a character birthday, and some other things related to the civil war and the dragonborn.

I prefer Skyrim Unbound to Alternate Start/You Are Not The Dragonborn/Immediate Dragons. It does all three. Sadly, it doesn't work with Requiem atm for me.

57 kg? Sheesh, he's literally skin and bones ... great character, but damn he's light. He could probably compete with the draugr in terms of leanness.
